DAV Institute of Management, Faridabad Admission 2023: Eligibility, Application process

At the undergraduate level, DAV Institute of Management, Faridabad offers three degree courses in the fields of Business Studies, Information Technology and Computer Science leading to the degrees of BBA, BCA and B.Sc.(Computer Science) respectively. All these courses are three year’s full-time regular degree courses. The BBA course further specializes in four different specializations, such as, Business Administration, Computer Aided Management, Business Economics and Industry Integrated.

• Admissions to the above mentioned courses are done based on merit of the candidates in the previous qualifying examination.
• Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in aggregate in order to apply for any of the above mentioned undergraduate programmes.

DAV Institute of Management, Faridabad offers Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) degree programmes at the Post Graduate(PG) level. The MBA course is offered for a period of two years whereas the MCA programme takes three years to complete the course duration. The institute also provides MCA degree under lateral entry.

The MBA programme further specializes in five different Management specializations, namely, Finance Management, Marketing Management, Human Resources Management, Information Technology and International Business Management. The total annual intake capacity for all the MBA specializations is 120 seats.

• Candidates aspiring for the MBA programme must have completed Graduation in any discipline with minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University. 
• Candidates who are looking forward to take admission at this institution in the three-year Masters of Computer Application (MCA) programme will have to complete Graduation with Mathematics or Statistics as compulsory subject and secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
• For the two-year Master of Computer Application (MCA) lateral entry course, candidates need to pass either BCA or B.Sc. or any other equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks [45% for SC/ST candidates of Haryana] in aggregate with Mathematics as a subject at the 10+2 level or at graduation level.
• Admissions to the MBA and MCA programmes are done through an Entrance Test followed by a Personal Interview conducted by the the institute.
• For admission to the MCA programme, candidates may also appear in Haryana Online Entrance Test for MCA commonly known as Haryana OLET MCA.

• A relaxation of 5% marks in the eligibility criteria will be considered for SC/ ST category candidates belonging to Haryana State only.
• The Candidate holding a valid CAT/MAT/CMAT/ XAT score card are exempted from appearing in the DAVIM MBA Eligibility test. He/she can apply for the MBA program on the basis of percentile score in these tests.
• To get admission in the MCA programme, a valid score in OLET is mandatory.
• Final selection will be done based on merit in the DAVIM Entrance Test and performance in Personal Interview.
• The intake capacity for the MCA programme is 120 seats.
• The institute reserves 20% of the total intake for MCA lateral entry course.

DAV Institute of Management, Faridabad offers Integrated Professional Programmes at the Postgraduate (PG) level. Presently, three professional courses are offered at the institute, namely,  Cost and Management Accountancy, Chartered Accountancy and Company Secretaryship.

The above-mentioned programmes have three segments- Foundation Programme, Executive Programme and Professional Programme. Candidates who have passed only 10+2 level examination will have to undergo all the stages. The Graduate students get direct admission into the intermediate course. Admissions are done twice a year i.e. in April-May for July to December batch and in October-November for Jan to June Batch.

For admission to the Chartered Accountancy programme, candidates will have to appear in an entry level test known as Common Proficiency Test (CPT).
