SICSR Pune Admission 2024: Registration (Open), Dates, Courses, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

SICSR offers B.B.A. (IT), BCA and B.Sc. (IT) courses at the undergraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to the UG programs should possess at least 50% marks in 10+2 in any stream or an equivalent diploma in Engineering & Technology.

The final selection of the candidates in any of the UG program is based on the score in SET followed by a performance in PI-WAT and evaluation of past academic record.

Key Points:

• B.Sc. (IT) course is available only for International Students.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories must have at least 45% marks in 10+2 or an equivalent diploma in Engineering & Technology.
• Out of the total intake, 2 seats per course are reserved for Kashmiri Migrants and 15% quota is for foreign national candidates.
• Candidates applying under the reserved categories must submit the supporting documents at the time of PI-WAT.

In addition to UG programs, the institute also provides PG programs viz. MBA (IT), M.Sc. (CA) and M.Sc. (SS) courses. The minimum eligibility criterion for admission to PG programs is a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.

Selection of the candidates to the Masters’ courses is based upon the SNAP scores along with the performance in GE-PIWAT.

Key Points:

• Candidates can opt for both M.Sc. (CA) and M.Sc. (SS) courses simultaneously by paying an application fee of INR 1500.
• SC/ ST category candidates are awarded a relaxation of 5% in the aggregated score of the qualifying exam.
• The intake of candidates on the basis of reservation for SC/ ST/ DA/ FN is 15%, 7.5%, 3% and 15% per course, while 2 seats are reserved for Kashmiri Migrants in every program.
• International candidates can apply as Foreign Nationals with a foreign passport and 50% marks in 10+2
• Foreign students can also apply as NRI if they have appeared or passed a qualifying exam outside India (equivalent to 10+2)
• Foreign candidates can also register as a Person of Indian Origin if they have a PIO card with 50% marks in 10+2.

The distribution of marks for the selection procedure of SNAP will be as follows: 

• SNAP Test- 50 marks (SNAP Score of 150 will be scaled down to 50)
• Group Exercise- 10 marks
• Personal Interaction- 30 marks
• Writing ability test- 10 marks

Candidates seeking admission to PG/UG program offered by Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) must appear for SET and SNAP, respectively. In order to do so, the candidates should register through the respective official websites of SET/ SNAP. Candidates must apply online to take admission in the institute by following the given application process. 

Below is the Application process of UG admissions:

1. While registering for the respective entrance examinations, the candidate must also apply online for SICSR through the same application form.
2. An application fee of INR 1000 must be paid either online through gateway payment mode or Demand Draft in favor of "Director, Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research", payable at Pune.
3. It is to be ensured by the candidate that the application fee must be paid separately for PI-WAT at centers as per dates mentioned on the college website.
4. Payment can be made through net banking, Credit card, Axis Bank pays in slip along with the payment of SET registration or by forwarding a DD in favor of SICSR Pune, to the institute or by paying through credit card at the time of online application to the institute or through Net banking. 
5. In case payment is made by Demand Draft, please mention your name and the SET ID number on the back of the Demand Draft and send it by speed post (EMS)/Registered AD.

Below is the Application process of PG admissions:

1. Select institute- Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies & Research (SICSR) & your preferred postgraduate programme [MBA(IT), MSc(CA) & MSc(SS)] at SICSR
2. While registering for the respective entrance examinations, the candidate must also apply online for SICSR through the same application form.
3. An application fee of INR 1950 is for SNAP and INR 1000 must be paid either online through gateway payment mode or Demand Draft in favor of "Director, Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research", payable at Pune.
4. It is to be ensured by the candidate that the application fee must be paid separately for PI-WAT at centers as per dates mentioned on the college website.

List of Documents to be attached along with the application form:

• Online registration form with a photograph and signature
• Attested photocopies of metric and 10+2 mark sheet and passing certificate
• In case of appearing for 10+2 examination, attested mark sheet of 10+1 and Admit card of 10+2.
• Attested photocopy of bachelor’s mark sheet and degree (for PG programs)
• Attested photocopy of Migration certificate
• Attested photocopy of Character/ Conduct certificate
• Attested photocopy of Caste certificate, if applicable

Note 1: Online payment slip with account details on the application form, and in case of DD, carefully mention the name of the candidate along with the SET/ SNAP ID number on the back of DD.

Note 2: The fee payable by international candidates must be paid in USD equivalent to INR.
