AVC College Admission

Admission to the UG & PG courses will be done on the basis of merit and Personal interview conducted by the college itself.

The selection of candidates to doctoral courses will be based on merit in the National/ state level entrance exam and interview conducted by the college. Candidates having NET/JRF/UGC score can directly appear in the interview

AVC College Facilities

Library: The College provides a library facility, consisting of 88,267books, 162 Periodicals including National Journals, International Journal, and Abstract Journal. There is a huge college of back volumes of journals. It also consists of a research journal for each department.
Hostel: There is a good hostel facility for its students. The College has a separate boy’s hostel with 250 capacities and a girl’s hostel with 200 capacities. The students who are admitted to the hostel must apply to the Deputy Warden of the hostel soon after the admission procedure gets completed. The hostilities get the facilities of the library, playground, only vegetarian dishes, auditorium, etc.
Health Centre: There are health care facilities for the students and staff members. All-time doctors, nurses, medicines, clinical instruments are available at the service. Minor treatments are done at the Health care centre of the college; blood pressure check is also done there. First Aid, ample hospital beds are available for the staff and students.
Transport: The College provides transport facilities to its students. There are pick and drop facilities for the students to ensure a safe and punctual journey. There are eleven buses for this purpose, and they cover most of the surrounding areas.
Museum: A Museum in the department of zoology is maintained to improve student skills. There is an availability of species, vertebrate, and invertebrate objects skeletons

What Students Say?

The faculties were good. My statistics staff, Mrs. R. Anuradha, is my favourite professor because she taught the students well.
An internship is provided by the college, but it can be done at any other institution near us where we can gain good experience, with a stipend amount of about 7000.
In the placement scenario, the college is dedicated and even helps us train so that we can give our best.
The fee cost is relatively low compared to other colleges, and it is a very good institution in Mayiladuthurai.
If I talk about activities, they have a very good and nice-looking campus with good infrastructures, having all the facilities such as good furniture and many more things like that. No issues are there.
Hostel facilities are available in the college, and food is provided in the mess.
I applied for the BSc CS course in 2021. The admission process is excellent, and yes, reservations are available for those who are eligible. The aim of my college is to educate and empower people, and we have received an NAAC A++ grade. Delta No.1 College, AVC College, Autonomous, Mayiladuthurai.

Dislike

The course curriculum is great; there is a lot of practical learning. However, the college provides us with fewer practicals and does not take any research initiative.
I paid 30k for 3 years. Sorry, my education period is during the COVID era, so I havent attended any interviews and havent visited our college

The Eligibility of the course is a cutoff of 160 and above in the major of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science or Biology. We can apply for the seats by TNEA counseling or by contacting the college management for the Management Quota which will be expensive. I have joined using Management Quota. The application fee was 500 Rs. when I joined and the application will be opened a month after the results of the 12th state board exams. The Reservation benefits can be availed by joining using Government Quota from TNEA counseling for the category of OBC, SC, and ST. The admission process can be improved by conducting GD/PI.

Good for Self Learning Candidates and Industry Exposure

I joined the college by giving TNEA counseling where I have chosen Mechanical Engineering as my department with Government quota. There is no entrance exam for the course. But You should have specific cutoffs in the HSE State board exam like above 150 (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Computer Science, or Biology). We can join using Management Quota also.
