Basanti Devi College offers BA and B.Sc. (Honours & General) degree courses in various disciplines of Arts & Science. The basic criteria to take admission in Honours degree courses are the passing of 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject of specialization. However, for General degree courses, the candidates must have passed 10+2 in relevant subjects.

The candidates are purely selected on the basis of merit of the qualifying examination.

Key Points:

The SC/ ST candidates must have an aggregate of 40% marks in 10+2 with 40% marks in the relevant subject of specialization.
Screening Interviews are conducted for BA (Hons.) in Bengali and History.
The candidates who have passed 10+2 through Patrachar Vidyalaya are not eligible to take admission in UG courses.
Of the total seats, 3% are reserved for candidates with special needs.
Accidental Insurance is available for the selected candidates.
Reservations are awarded as per the norms of the State Government.
