Asutosh College is a pioneer institute of education in West Bengal and was established in 1916. It is the first college in the state which was accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade. The college offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Diploma courses in the streams of Arts, Science, and Commerce. The admission process was indeed very easy in Calcutta University and it is the same for all colleges under it. The eligibility is to have 60% in your 12th results and also on the availability of seats in a particular college. The application forms are available on the college websites as well as the university website. The process itself is pretty smooth and one just needs to act quickly once the merit lists are out with their names, to grab the seats within time.
The admission process is very simple. Just after H.S., You have to apply for college admission, and selection is fully based on merit basis. Basic eligibility is plus 2 with maths, physics, and chemistry. and maths is compulsory for opting bachelor's in chemistry, cut off is mostly above 90 percent.
