Aided:

The American College Madurai offers undergraduate course B.A in four specializations, and other undergraduate courses such as B.Com, and B.Sc. in five specializations.

For B.A eligibility, candidates should complete their higher secondary examination in mathematics as a major subject with 45% marks from recognized board (40% for other categories).

Admission is based on the counseling for B.A. course.

For B.Com eligibility, students with 40% in commerce under the academic or vocational stream in recognized board.

Students who have passed 10+2 in Mathematics/physics/chemistry/botany/ zoology or any vocational subjects are eligible to B.Sc. course.

For admission, students are selected based on counseling.

Self-financed:

The American College offers other undergraduate courses such as B.A in 3 specializations, B.Com in 2 specializations, and B.Sc. in 10 specializations.

For B.A eligibility, candidates should complete their 10+2 in Hindi/French/English from recognized board.

For B.Com eligibility, students should complete 10+2 in IT/Computer applications under the academic or vocational stream in recognized board.

Students who have passed 10+2 in computer science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, or any vocational subjects are eligible to B.Sc. course.

For admission, students are selected based on merit list.

Key points for UG Admission:

• The marks obtained in their qualifying 10+2 exam or an equivalent exam will be considered for deciding eligibility.

• Students who have passed ICS exam of the council with not less than five subjects are also eligible.

Aided:

The American College offers Postgraduate course M.A in three specializations and M.Sc. in five specializations under the aided stream. Students who have passed bachelor’s degree in Tamil/English/Economics with 40% or above marks from recognized board are eligible for M.A course.

Students who have passed bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology or any vocational subject with 40% or above marks from recognized board are eligible for M.Sc. course.

Admission to aided courses is done on the basis of counselling conducted by Madurai Kamaraj University.

Self-financed:

The American College offers Postgraduate course M.Com, M.A, MBA and M.Sc. in two specializations in the self-financed stream. Students who have passed bachelor’s degree in commerce or any vocational subject with minimum 55% marks from recognized board are eligible for M.Com course.

Students who have passed Bachelor’s degree in humanities/social science/business management/science or any commerce degree from any recognized degree are eligible for M.A course.

Students who have passed bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology or any vocational subject from recognized board are eligible for M.Sc. course.

Admission to Self-Financed courses is done on the basis of merit.

Students who have passed bachelor’s degree in business administration are eligible for MBA course. Admission for MBA is based on the entrance exam CAT, MAT, XAT or CMAT scores.

• Candidates who have appeared for final year BA examination in their bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply.
• Bachelor’s Degree in some other major subjects and who have secured 55% or more are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates who hold bachelor’s degree in concerned subject with 40% of marks or more in Major and Ancillaries are eligible to apply.
• Candidates who hold a Bachelor’s degree in some other major subject and who have secured 60% marks or more in English after two years of study are also eligible.
• For M.Sc. Zoology, candidates who have appeared in bachelor’s degree with botany/zoology as major or ancillary subjects and hope to secure 35% of marks or above are also eligible.

Aided:

The American College offers M.Phil. zoology course under the aided stream. For MPhil zoology course, candidates with master’s degree in zoology or any vocational subject are eligible. Admission is based on counseling.

Self-financed:

The American College offers M.Phil. course in five specializations under the self-financed stream. For M.Phil. Course, candidates with master’s degree in Tamil/English/Economics/Commerce/Physics/Chemistry or any vocational subject are eligible. Admission is based on merit list.

Students who want to get admissions into undergraduate, postgraduate, and MPhil courses can apply online and offline. For MBA, candidates must register at the official website of CAT, MAT, XAT, and CMAT to appear in the entrance examination.

• Click on link given ‘Login & Apply Online’.
• Fill the application form carefully and submit.
• Pay the fees online through Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card.

• Download the application form from the official website of college.
• Fill all the details carefully.
• Application Fees can be paid either by cash or personal basis or by Demand Draft.
