NERIM Course Admissions 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

North Eastern Regional Institute of Management provides B.Com course in NERIM Commerce College in full-Time mode for 3 years.

Eligibility

• Any student who has passed HS / 10+2 in Commerce stream with 45% marks in aggregate is eligible to apply for admission into B.Com three year program at NERIM Commerce College.
• However, a relaxation of 5%marks shall be applicable for students belonging to ST/ SC/OBC category.
• Students intending to opt for admission into B.Com three year program from Science /Arts stream shall need to have a compulsory Mathematics paper in HS / 10+2 without which they shall not be considered eligible for admission.

Selection Procedure

• Selection for Admission into 3 year full time B.Com (Major) program shall be made completely on the basis of Merit.
• Eligibility criteria and procedure for Admission is subject to change from time to time as per the notification of the University.

Award of Degree

On successful completion of the course, candidates shall be awarded the Degree of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) by Gauhati University.

NERIM School of Computer Science provides the BCA program, NERIM law college provides the 5- year Integrated BA-LLB program and LL.B course, NERIM School of Social science provides the BSW course, and NERIM School of Management provides BBA course under the regulations of Gauhati University.

NERIM UG Eligibility

• For admission into the Five-Year integrated BA-LLB program, a candidate shall have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent examination securing 45% in aggregate, provided that there shall be a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST and 3% for OBC candidates.
• For admission into the Three Year LL.B course, a candidate shall have passed the Bachelor degree in any in any stream or equivalent from a recognized University of India or outside constituted securing 45% in aggregate, provided that there shall be relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST and 3% for OBC candidates.
• A student who has passed the HS/10+2 Examination in Arts/Science/Commerce from any Board/Council recognized by the University with at least 45% marks (40 % for SC/ST) in aggregate, is eligible to apply for admission into the BSW course.
• A student who has passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) in Arts /Science/Commerce of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or any other equivalent Examination recognized as such by the University scoring an aggregate of 45% marks with Mathematics as one of the subjects in HS (PassMarks), is eligible to apply for admission into the 3 year BCA program.
• For admission into the Three Year BBA course, a candidate shall have passed 10+2 with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST). Mathematics is compulsory for Arts/ Science stream.

NERIM UG Selection Procedure

• Selection for admission into the Five-year Integrated BA.LLB (Hons.) Course and 3 Year LL.B (Hons.) course at NERIM Law College under Dibrugarh University shall be based on interview and counselling.
• Selection for Admission into three year full time BSW program shall be made completely on the basis of Merit.
• The selection of candidate for admission into 3 year BCA program shall be done on merit basis as determined by the University.

NERIM UG Award of Degree

• A candidate must pass all his/her semester examinations within 8 years in 5 year integrated Law Degree course from the date of admission into the 1st semester to be eligible for the degree of BA-LLB(H).
• A candidate must pass all his/her semester examination within 6 years in 3 year LL.B (H) course from the date of admission into the 1st semester to be eligible for the degree of LL.B(H).
• On Successful completion of the course, the student shall be awarded the degree of Bachelor in Social Work (BSW) by Dibrugarh University.
• Successful candidates shall be awarded the Degree of Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) by Dibrugarh University. Candidates securing 60% and above will be awarded First class and those securing 45% or more but less than 60% will be awarded Second class.

NERIM offers 2 years long MBA and PGDM program with 5 and 4 specializations respectively. Following are the specializations offered in PGDM at NERIM: Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, and Information System. Following are the specializations offered in MBA at NERIM:

NERIM MBA Eligibility Criteria 

• A candidate who possess a Bachelor Degree of Dibrugarh University or any other recognized university and having at least 2 (Two) years post qualification work experience in any Government, semi government, or Non- Government Organization, is eligible to apply for admission into First Year of Part Time MBA course.
• Self Employed Persons having above mentioned qualification and experience shall also be considered for the admission purpose.
• Admission Committee, Department of Business Administration, shall select the candidates for the admission.
• There shall be an AdmissionTest in the form of WrittenTest for admission into Part Time MBA Course.
• Written Test shall be of 200 marks and it shall consist of General Awareness, Test of Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and English Language. On the basis of performance of Written Test, a Merit List shall be prepared and priority in the admission shall be given on the basis of Merit List.

NERIM PGDM Eligibility Criteria

• Any graduate in 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized University with a CAT score or minimum composite MAT score of 400, is eligible to apply for admission into the 2 year PGDM Programme.
• All eligible candidates seeking admission into 2 year PGDM Programme must have a valid MAT score / CAT Percentile. Short listed candidates shall be required to sit for Group Discussionn (GD) followed by Personal Interview(PI).

Under the PG domain NERIM provides courses like MCA, M.Sc., M.Com, MSW, MA, LLB and LLM in the full-time mode. MBA programme is also available in part-time mode which has a duration of 3 years. Candidates can also apply through Lateral Entry to the MCA programme provided by the NERIM School of Computer Science.

NERIM PG Eligibility Criteria

• For M.Sc. (Computer Science), Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (B.Sc CS/IT) or Bachelor degree in Computer Application (BCA) or Bachelor degree in Science with Mathematics as one of the subject in 10+2 or in degree level or 4 years Bachelor degree in Engineering / Technology(BE/B.Tech.) or DOEACC 'A' level course after passing Bachelor degree
• Any candidate who possesses a Bachelor degree in any stream including medical and technical graduates from Dibrugarh University or any other university recognized by the UGC with at least 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC) marks is eligible to apply for admission into the Master of Applied Psychology program (2- year full time).
• A student with B.Com Degree from Gauhati University or any other university recognized by Gauhati University shall be eligible for M.Com admission, provided such student is
  • B.Com in the 10+2+3 pattern with Major Course in the Subject.
  • B.Com in the 10+2+3 pattern with at least 40% marks in aggregate in General Course.
  • B.Com with speciality as prescribed by the concerned university.
• A candidate to take admission into LL.M. program must have 50% marks in aggregate in LL.B.-3 years/B.A.,B.Sc., B.Com., BA. LLB / BBA.LL.B-5 Year Integrated course recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) and BCI. However, a relaxation of 5% in the eligibility criteria shall be admissible to the bona-fide SC/ST/OBC/PWD applicants of the State of Assam only.
• Any Graduate with 45% from Dibrugarh University or any other University recognized as such by the University (40 percent for SC/ST/OBC) in aggregate, is eligible to apply for admission into the 2 year MSW Program.
• Candidates who have passed the Bachelor Degree Course in any stream from the Recognized University with 40% Marks in aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC 35%) , is eligible for Admission into 1 Year full time PGDCA Course.

NERIM PG Selection Criteria

• Admission to M.Sc & MCA is done on the basis of NET.
• Admission to M.Com 1st Semester shall be made strictly on Merit. Preference will be given to candidates having Major/Honours/Speciality Course in the concerned subject in order of merit.
• Selection for admission shall be made on the basis of DibrugarhUniversity norms and regulations for M.A. Applied Psychology.
• The admission into LL.M. Program will be made through an Entrance Test to be conducted by the University/Centre/College. There will be only one paper for 2-hours for LL.M. Entrance Test which will comprise of Indian Constitutional Law,Criminal Law,Environmental Law, International Law, Procedural and Evidence Laws, Family Laws, Law of Torts, Business Law, Intellectual Property Law.
• Selection of candidates shall bemade on the basis of NERIM Entrance Test (NET) for Social Works.The entrance test shall be both subjective and objective type question comprising of topics related to Social issues and general awareness.
