Shivaji University Distance Education Admission
Centre of Distance Education, Shivaji Univesity usually commences its admissions from the month of August. Interested candidates are requested to log on to the Distance Education section under www.unishivaji.ac.in and check Online Notice Board for details related to the application form, admission schedule, contact sessions, course material, and exam schedule.
Candidates should follow the application procedure for successful registration in a course or entrance test. The registration process requires:
- Candidate to apply online through the official university website
- Payment of registration fee via online mode or demand draft.
- Filling up the online registration form and submitting it in person or by post at Centre for Distance Education at Kolhapur with the DD or fee payment receipt.
Note: The registration or eligibility fee for a course is INR 50/ 75/ 100/- for candidates from Maharashtra/Shivaji University, INR 300 for candidates outside Maharashtra/other Indian University and INR 500 for foreign candidates, whichever be the case.
Shivaji University Distance Education Scholarships
Shivaji University is the first-ever University to offer scholarships to the Postgraduate and Undergraduate students of its affiliated colleges. Every year it offers 500 scholarships of INR. 5,000 or INR. 10,000 each to its deserving students. Shivaji University boasts a campus of 853 acres which houses a number of prominent facilities for the use of the students and faculty. Some of them are as follows:
- E-Learning: The institute also provides the Distance Learning students with a number of courses that can be accessed online. This facility includes online video lectures on all the subjects studied by them, as well as audios, downloadable text materials and assignments. There also courses that aid in the preparation for various entrance exams that are made available to the desiring students.
- Laboratories: SUK also has a number of well-developed labs for the students that allow them to extend their practical knowledge of various subjects. These are well maintained and managed by the concerned faculty.
- Library: The institute has quite a prestigious library of 10,601 sq. km.
