It came into existence in 2007 and is located in the Bihta region of Patna. The institute is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna.

Currently, NSIT Patna offers two courses namely, B.Tech and Diploma in Engineering. The minimum requirement for both the courses is a pass in 10+2. Admission to the courses is done through the counselling based on the JEE Main or BPTPIA scores.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 in science stream with at least 50% marks.
Also, they must have studied Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects at 10+2 level.

NSIT Patna B. Tech/Diploma Selection Criteria

Candidates seeking admission under B.Tech or Diploma in Engineering at NSIT must have a valid score of JEE Main or BPTPIA.
Admission to both the courses depend upon any of the above exam scores.
The qualified candidates will be called for the counselling process.
Students who have qualified JEE Main need to appear for the JoSAA Counselling. While those who have qualified BPTPIA need to participate in the BPTPIA Counselling.
During the counselling, candidates need to register, pay the counselling fee and pick the preferred course & college (NSIT Patna) and get their documents verified.
