The South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies (SAIACS) is a one of a kind institute dedicated to the study and research of Christian theology in India. It was started in the year 1981 and is located in Bangalore, Karnataka.
South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies offers postgraduate courses in Theology (MTh/M. Phil), Divinity (MDiv), Theological Studies and Theology (M.A TS, M.A Th), Ph.D. programmes in seven specializations, a certificate (CCS) and a diploma course (DCS) in Christian Studies and a certificate course in Theological Librarianship. Besides these, the institute also offers online programmes like M.A in Biblical Studies, M.A in Leadership, Bible For All (BFA) and Doctor of Ministry.

SAIACS offers MTh/M. Phil (Th) courses in seven specializations approved by Asia Theological Association. It also offers M.Div. and M.A. courses in Theological Studies and Theology. Candidates applying for Old Testament and New Testament Specializations must complete 2 exegetical courses in Hebrew and Greek respectively. Those specializing in Study of Religions must complete the equivalent of 2 exegetical courses in Urdu/Sanskrit/Arabic. Apply for PG Courses

Key Points:
SAIACS offers certificate courses in Christian Studies (CCS) and Theological Librarianship (CTL), and a Diploma course in Christian Studies (DCS). Key Points:
Ph. D courses are offered in six specializations by SAIACS, namely, Old Testament, New Testament, Theology and Ethics, Missiology, Study of Religions and Pastoral Theology. The course is divided into two components: the Pre-Doctoral Programme (PDP) and the Candidacy (includes thesis writing). The programme must be completed within 5 years after completion of PDP.
Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of applications submitted online. Candidates must possess ministry experience of t least 2 years and display high proficiency in English. Eligible candidates have to appear for an entrance exam and interview at the institute. The final decision regarding admission is made by the Selection Committee.
