Admission to Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences is based on the scores obtained in NEET UG and NEET PG. For admission to the MBBS program candidates need 50% marks in PCBE in 10+2, while reserved category candidates need 45% marks in 10+2 for admission into the MBBS program via NEET UG. 55% marks in MBBS + 1 year of compulsory rotatory internship are required for admission to the MD/MS program.

In the MBBS program at Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences, out of 150 seats, 15% of seats are reserved for All India Quota, whereas 85% are reserved for the State Quota. Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences Counseling Process

Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences accepts counselling from MCC and KEA. MCC conducts counseling for All India Quota seats (15% reservation in NEET UG and 50% reservation in NEET PG) while KEA conducts counseling for State Quota seats (85% reservation in NEET UG and 50% reservation in NEET PG).
