Karwar Institute Of Medical Sciences Admission
Admission into the MBBS course offered by KIMS is on the basis of NEET UG entrance examination.
There is a 5% relaxation in basic eligibility for OBC candidates, and 10% for SC/ST candidates.
KIMS does not conduct its own admission process. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducts counseling for 85% of the State Quota seats, while Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) conducts counseling for 15% of the All India Quota seats.

The admission process is available in online mode. To apply, follow the steps below:
- Candidates must visit the official KEA website and register by clicking on ‘New User’
- After registering, login and fill the application form with the correct details
- Then, candidates must fill in their preferred course and college in order of preference
- Next, pay the application form fee of Rs. 1000 (General) or Rs. 500 (SC/ST)
- Finally, download the form for future reference
- Once candidates are allotted a seat, they must visit the allotted college and complete the admission process
