Why is the SLC College cutoff higher every year?

The cutoffs of SLC remain higher every year due to various reasons such as popularity of the courses and college, low difficulty level of board examination, ratio of number of students exceeds the availability of seats, or higher marks obtained in class 12th Which causes tougher competition etc.

Can I take admission to B.A. (H), if I qualify for the SLC cut off in the first list?

The SLC prepares Cutoff lists on the basis of merit scores achieved by the students in class 10+2 level board examination. The candidates who score the equivalent or higher than the required cutoff marks are considered eligible for taking admission in the very first list..

How will I get confirmation if I qualify for the SLC cutoff for admission?

When the cutoff lists of SLC are out, they will be displayed on the official websites of Delhi University and SLC. After this, the cutoff marks which are the basis of admission to the college will be displayed on the notice board of SLC college, from time to time, in accordance with the university schedule during the admission period.

I did not opt for B.A. (H) at SLC, but I qualified for the cutoff. Can I still apply?

No, it is not possible for a student to choose another course like B.A. (H), the release of the cutoff lists of SLC. According to the rules of DU, only those applicants who have chosen the exact college and their course combination in the common application of DU UG Merit Based Admission, are eligible to apply for admission upon qualifying the cut off.

Likes

College provide variety of courses which provide exposure and experience to all the candidate at his or her level.
This college also provides large no. opportunities to all the candidate which enhance thier skill and build thier self -confidence .
College also provide one to one connection with the college alumini , which makes students to create thier networks which provide advantages for students to explore various amounts of fields

Dislikes

There is a countable faculty present in the college which is not as good as we want at this level of college . In my opinion this faculty needs to be change .
The college is located in shahdara which is near shilampur . Shilampur is infamous for thier robbery , neusince and anti social activity which proves that by road transportation is not good for students who are living far away from college
The college is nice but when it comes to placement , it is a matter of concern , as his placement is not at par level , we can rate it as average when it comes to placement .

Campus Life:

The college is situated in underdeveloped area of delhi . So very less amount of shops are present nearby college . There are many socities including cultural society which is responsible for celebrating our triditional festivals . Picoholics is the society which consists of students which are interested in editography and videography . the annual fest (FIESTA) is celebrated once a year . the annaul sports day is celebrated on (INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY) EVERY YEAR . and many more events takes place . The college is not techonology based like other colleges of the university . it is termed as underdeveloed . some classes have smart board , only reading room and faculty member offices are ac roomed. the library is also not good as it is in the mode of developing (renovation is under worked ) .
