India Today Media Institute (ITMI) is a part of the India Today media group. ITMI offers a two-year full-time PG Diploma in Mass Communication and an 11-months full-time PG diploma across 4 specializations. The two-years, full time PG Diploma in Mass Communication is offered in Audiovisual Production, Advertising and Public Relations and Journalism. One year post-graduate diploma is offered in selected disciplines like Broadcast Journalism, Media & Entertainment Management, Digital Media & Communication, and Visual Communication & Digital Infographics.
- The minimum eligibility for the PG program is the candidate should possess undergraduate degree.
- However, candidates who have completed a three-year diploma course are also eligible for the PG program.
- Final year student of under graduation may apply. However, admission to the institute is permissible only after successful completion of graduation.
- The age limit for admission is 30 years as of the date of the admission
- A minimum 15 years of schooling is also required for admission.
- Admission to the post-graduation program is done through ITMI admission test process. ITMI does not consider marks of graduation or other levels for a “cut-off” or for merit of admission.
- Dates for the admission test, interviews, and orientation are communicated to the students individually. For 2022 admission, the Admission Test will be conducted on August 27, 2022 (Offline mode) and August 30, 2022 (Online mode).

ITMI PG Admission 2023
ITMI offers a two-year post graduation diploma in mass communication under 3 different specializations. - After the written test, eligible candidates are called for the face to face interview.
- At time of interview, candidates may present a portfolio or certificates or documents which can improve the chances of selection.
- The final selection of the candidate is dependent on the following factors.
- Scores obtained in written tests (multiple-choice questions and essays).
- Scores obtained in the interview along with the remarks given by the interviewer.
- Candidate's academic background.
- Any demonstration of special qualities.
- Final approval by the dean.
ITMI Application Process 2023
The application process of ITMI is online. Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for courses offered by ITMI.
- Visit https://www.indiatoday.in/itmi/
- Fill in the required details in the registration form. Select your choice of entrance test and interview center
- Candidates need to pay a non-refundable registration fee of INR 1200.
- If the candidate chooses to pay through offline mode they need to purchase a DD/banker's cheque of INR 1,500, drawn on any bank in Noida / New Delhi favoring "TV Today Network Ltd".
- Candidates are required to write in block letters their full name, telephone number, e-mail id, and address on the back of the DD/banker’s cheque.
- Candidates can either courier the DD/bankers cheque or personally deposit it to the ITMI office.
After registration, candidates are eligible for the ITMI admission process. Candidates will receive an email from the institute regarding the details of the location, date, and time of the ITMI Admission Test. An admission test is followed by an interview. Candidates can check the test date and timings from the home page of the institute’s website. For the 2022 Admission, ITMI Admission Test will be held on June 19, 2022 (Online mode) and June 20, 2022 (Offline mode).
Documents to be produced at the examination venue
- Valid form of photo id (current college ID/ PAN card/ Passport/driving license/other government –issued ID).
- Print of the registration confirmation email.
- All available academic documents including 10th and 12th pass certificates and mark sheet or passing certificate of graduation final year.
- Photocopies of each academic document duly attested by the gazetted officer. The photocopies are required to be attached to the application form which candidates will receive at the test venue.
