- Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu, but have passed 10+2 education from another state are also eligible. All they need to do is submit a nativity certificate.
- Candidates who are the children of central government employees can also apply for TNEA. However, the nativity certificate of their parents/guardians serving the state of Tamil Nadu continuously in the last five years has to be shown.
- Children of the All India Service Tamil Nadu Cadre officers are also eligible for TNEA.
