Selection Criteria:

Admissions at Rungta Engineering College(REC) are offered on the basis of rank scored in the entrance examinations such as Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test(CGPET), GATE, JEE(MAINS), and Chhattisgarh Pre-Polytechnic Test(CG PPT).

For undergraduate courses, candidates have to clear the cutoff of the Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test(CGPET), and JEE(MAINS).
For postgraduate courses, candidates have to clear the cutoff of the gratitude aptitude test(GATE).
For Diploma courses, candidates have to clear the cutoff of the Chhattisgarh Pre-Polytechnic Test(CG PPT).

How to Apply?

Candidates must visit the official website of Rungta Group of Institutions.
Next, Candidates must fill the basic registration form with details such as Name, Email-Id, Phone Number, Password, State, City, Institution, and Course.
After the registration, candidates will receive a verification mail on their registered e-mail. After completing verification, candidates can fill the remaining form.

The Government of Chhattisgarh has introduced many schemes and scholarships for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other backward classes so that they don’t miss out on quality education because of lack of resources. Following are the schemes and scholarships applicable in Rungta Engineering College:

Post Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes

This scholarship is funded by the Department of the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Welfare. Students belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes who have a family annual income less than Rs 2.5 Lakh for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Rs 1 Lakh in case of OBC students. Students should be pursuing post-matric education in the state. Eligible students will be awarded with Rs 3,800/- per month for hostellers and Rs 2250/- for Non-hostellers.

Disabled Scholarship Scheme

This scholarship is funded by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Chhattisgarh. Students who have more than 40% disability studying at undergraduate or postgraduate level. The income should be less than Rs 8000/- for a month. Eligible students will be awarded some amount to cover the admission fees, hostel fees, and other related fees.

DTE Chhattisgarh Scholarship

This scholarship is funded by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chhattisgarh. Students belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes who have scored 60% in the 12th standard and have passed from an institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE). Eligible students will be awarded Rs 2000/- per month till the degree is done.
