Motihari College of Engineering was primarily set up by the Government of India and presently under the subsidiary of the state Government of Bihar. It is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU) situated in Patna.
There are 5 academic divisions in which B.Tech. is offered. Motihari College of Engineering is the only to have started a Computer Science engineering course in 2008 and is AICTE approved.
