Golden Polytechnic College Admission

Minimum qualification for polytechnic admission is the applicant must have passed the 10th Standard or any other equivalent Examination.

Qualification for lateral entry:

  • For Lateral Entry into the second year (III semester of the course) the candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary (Academic or Vocational) Examinations of 10+2 pattern with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
  • ITI (Industrial Training Institute) passed.
  • Any other qualification recognised as equivalent to a pass in HSC or Tamilnadu Higher Schools by the Director of Secondary Education Board, Tamilnadu.

Admission Procedure

The completed application form should be sent to the college so as to reach or come in person before the last date specified. Once the candidate is selected, he / she will be notified. 

The completed application form should be attached with the following details.:

  • 10th mark sheet 
  • 12th mark sheet – for lateral entry students
  • TC (Transfer Certificate) of previous Institute
  • Community/ Caste Certificate (if applicable) 
  • The documents submitted should be original as well as two attested copies.
  • Income certificate (original) – applicable only for those candidates who are applying for Scholarships. 
  • Attendance certificate (original) – applicable only for those applying Scholarships. 
  • Photo’s ( passport size and stamp size- 6 each).

Golden Polytechnic College Facilities

  • Library: The library contains 28,283 books and 40 Technical Magazines are subscribed for the students. Different Technical journals are also provided to the students. The library also has a Book bank containing 4,000 books. The library practises Computerised Indexing of books making it easy to issue and locate. The library is open five days a week from Monday through Friday- 8.30 AM to 6.30 PM.
  • Hostel: Hostel facility is provided on a first come, first serve basis. The Institute offers separate boys and girls hostel accommodation for students from distant places. Three teaching staff also reside in the hostel for supervision along with the warden. The hostel also offers mess facilities with vegetarian dishes.
  • The Institute also offers separate laboratories for relevant courses along with the equipment required for practicals. It also offers Cafeteria, Sports and Medical and Healthcare Facilities for the students.
