About JSBF

Jindal School of Banking and Finance (JSBF), Sonepat is India’s first Global Finance School offering B.Com (Hons.), B.Com (Capital Markets) with NSE Academy Ltd., Global B.Com (Hons.) with Deakin University, Australia, B.A. (Hons.) Finance & Entrepreneurship and M.Sc. Finance courses. The institute aims to provide global opportunities to the students in banking, finance and allied fields through multi-layered industry engagement and partnership. Apart from that, JSBF also conducts innovative research and provides impactful consulting in the areas of financial methods, products, practises, operations, and technology.

JSBF’s popular Global B.Com course is the first programme being launched under the India Australia Global Education Initiative. It is a 4.5 year programme through which students can subsequently transfer to a Deakin University campus in Australia after studying at JSBF. The institute’s 2 year Masters in Finance programme has also become popular among students. MSc in Finance students get benefits of the institution’s partnerships for professional certifications and pedagogical resources with NSE Smart Academy, ACFE and Harvard Business Publishing.

JSBF is accepting applications for its degree programmes for the academic year of 2022. Candidates are required to submit SAT/ACT/LSAT/JSAT/UGAT scores along with the required documents. For the UG programmes, applicants are selected through three rounds based on a personal statement, supplemental application, performance in school, JSAT or equivalent (SAT, ACT, UGAT, LSAT-India) and faculty interview. Candidates are required to appear for GRE/GMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/JSAT. Admission process is divided across three rounds and candidates are selected based on a personal statement, supplemental application, performance in school, JSAT or equivalent (SAT, ACT, UGAT, LSAT-India) and faculty interview. Application fee at JSBF for UG courses is INR 3000 and for PG courses is INR 1000.

The institute has a dedicated Office of Career Services (OCS) which helps students to build their career portfolio and align with industry expectations. The cell also conducts industry interaction sessions and networking events by experienced professionals from diversified sectors. As Jindal Global University has established partnerships with AVANSE (ICICI), Dena Bank and Credila (HDFC), JSBF students get assistance to facilitate educational loans to pursue their education at the institution.

OCS facilitates student learning beyond the classroom as well as create opportunities for internships and placements. During the winter internships, JSBF students get internships in Bank of America, ICICI Prudential, Kotak and better.com. They prepare students for interviews, help students in exploring career options, identifying their interest and aligning their individual interests with the career options.

Additionally, the institute provides internship opportunities to give them the required exposure in their chosen field. The cell also conducts industry interaction sessions and networking events by experienced professionals from diversified sectors. Apart from this, JSBF provides CV reviews and guides students to write industry specific cover letters, and emails. The students gain professional exposure and experience through summer internships, field visits, and working with faculty members through research centres and projects.

Food Courts: The college has a world class Food Court – “Biswamil Bistro” reflecting the global aspirations and Indian traditions. A wide range of Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian food options are thus available for the benefit of the Students, Faculty, Staff and Guests/Visitors.
Global Library: The Library has a collection of about 48000 print volumes and an array of electronic resources. The print collection includes books, monographs, research reports, law reports, and back volumes of periodicals etc.
Health Care: The university has a permanent health centre with all essential equipment and assistance available for students. It has separate male and female wards, consultation rooms, physiotherapy treatment rooms, counselling rooms, etc.
Sports Facilities: Sports and fitness activities are an integral component of JSLH. Under the supervision of qualified coaches and instructors, the students indulge in practice sessions in order to fulfill their aspirations of wearing university colors/jerseys. Ans. JSBF awards Merit cum Means Scholarships (MCM) every year. The MCM Scholarship covers the tuition fee only. The eligibility criteria includes annual family income, XII board score, JSAT or standardized examination results and faculty interview score. Weightage will also be given to curricular and non-curricular achievements.
