Bijoy Krishna Girls College offers three-year B.Sc and B.Com course in Honours and General mode in various disciplines.

The applicant of B.Com and B.Sc. course should have passed H.S. examination or equivalent along with the concerned subject of admission.

Selection to each UG course is on the basis of merit list. Merit list is drawn considering candidate’s marks in top four subjects in the qualifying exam i.e. H.S. plus marks in the subject of specialization.

Students will have to choose, one Elective from Group – 1 and one from Group – 2 respectively for each Hons. Subject.

Key points to remember for B.Sc. and B.Com Admission:

• 10% relaxation is given to SC/ ST candidates in aggregate percentage criteria and 5% relaxation is given in subject concerned.
• If candidates want to change subject change, it will be permitted only within the group.
• In addition to the combination subjects, students will have to take Compulsory Language:-English & Bengali / Hindi/Urdu and Environmental Studies in Part-I.
• A student will not be eligible to take up a particular subject unless, secures passing marks in the same subject in HSC.

Candidates applying to B.A. course, must have passed H.S. from a recognized board.  Candidate should have scored 50% in aggregate and 45% in subject in which admission is sought.

Selection is on the basis of merit list based aggregate marks of Best 4 subjects + marks in concerned subject of specialization.

Students will have to choose subjects, one Elective from Group – 1 and one from Group – 2 respectively for each Hons. Subject.

Candidates applying, should have done graduation in the relevant discipline with the concerned subject with at least 50% marks.

Selection to PG courses is on the basis of candidate’s performance in the qualifying exam.

Key points to remember for PG Admission:

• Relaxation of 5% is given to reserved category candidates in the qualifying exam criteria.

In B.Ed. course of BKGC, candidates who have done graduation with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply.

Of the total seats for B.Ed course, 50% are for deputed candidates and the rest are for freshers. Deputed candidates are those who are teaching in classes V to XII only. Selection of Deputed will be made on the basis of the period of approved services in the School.

In case applicants having equal service in Secondary School, preference will be given to the candidates having higher and better Academic Qualifications.

For selection to B.Ed. course, different weight age is given to different qualifying exams and final admission is given by combining all i.e. Total Grade marks.

Key points to remember for B.Ed. Admission:

• 20% seats are reserved for other University (Other than University of Calcutta) candidates. This type of reservation is applicable only for the fresher candidates.
• Maximum permissible age for a fresher candidate is 40 years (as on June 30, 2020) and relaxation of age for maximum five-year for students belonging SC/ST/ PWD.
• There is No age bar for a deputed candidate.
• Candidates pursuing any other Course of Studies (Regular Degree)/Job/Service/Fulltime Research Work will not be allowed to pursue this course simultaneously.
