Further, reservations during admission also include special categories viz., rural, Kannada medium study, NCC, sports, scouts and guides, children of Ex-servicemen, candidates with Physical Disability (Physically Handicapped) and candidates from the Anglo-Indian community.

Both the institutes are good and have excellent faculty and infrastructure. Students who are interested in clinical studies may prefer Bombay Veterinary College over Bangalore Veterinary College as it has better exposure to the field. But the BVSc. & AH degree obtained from the institutes are the same and have not much difference.
