Ans. After admission confirmation, students may apply for education loans at their respective local banks. IIJNM assists the students with the bank’s documentation requirements for the approval of loans.

Ans. During the break between the academic semesters, students get internship opportunities in their respective fields at news organizations. Students get hands-on industry experience through these two weeks to one month internships. Most of the interns receive placement offers after the completion of their degree. 

Ques. What is the admission procedure of IIJNM?

Ans. The following is the procedure to apply to the courses offered by the Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media:

  • Candidates can fill the application form online as well as offline.
  • Candidates are required to attach a photocopy of academic transcripts and certificates.
  • Those candidates who are waiting for final examination results have the option of submitting the latest transcripts or degree certificates.
  • Provide one essay describing any recent national or international event that has received worldwide attention. 
  • Application fee of INR 1000 is required to be submitted via debit card, credit card, UPI or Net Banking for online applications. Candidates applying offline may pay the application processing fee through bank draft or pay order.
  • Candidates will be notified about the details of the mandatory online admission test after successful submission of application.
  • If shortlisted after the admission test, candidates have to appear for a personal interview followed by counselling.

Ques. Can candidates be allowed to visit the IIJNM campus before applying to the college?

Ans. IIJNM arranges Open Days which include a tour of the IIJNM campus to see the facilities, understand the program structure and interact with the academic staff and alumni.
