Bapuji Dental College and Hospital Admission 2024: Courses, Fees, Cutoff, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

At the undergraduate level, the College offers Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Hospital degree with total intake capacity of 100 seats. The BDS program is of five-year including one-year of compulsory internship. Admission to BDS program is done through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET UG which is conducted by CBSE.

Candidates must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually in the subjects and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying Examination.

Key Points:

• For the candidates belonging to scheduled castes/ scheduled tribes, the minimum marks prescribed shall be at least 40% of the total marks in comparison with 50% marks for general candidates.
• Students studied other than pre-university board of Karnataka have to produce Eligibility Certificate issued by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka at the time of BDS admission.

Bapuji Dental College and Hospital offers three-year Master of Dental Surgery degree program in various specialization at the postgraduate level. To get admission in MDS, a candidate must hold a recognized degree of BDS or equivalent qualification recognized by the Dental Council of India and should have obtained permanent registration with the State Dental Council.

Admission will be done through NEET MDS conducted by National Board of Examination (NBE). It is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various Post Graduate MDS Courses.

• Students studied other than Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka have to produce Eligibility Certificate issued by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka at the time of MDS admission.
• Candidate should have completed one-year compulsory rotating internship after passing the final professional examination before April 30 of the academic year.

Bapuji Dental College and Hospital offers research oriented programs leading to Ph.D. degree in Dentistry. Candidates holding an MDS degree from a recognized College/ University   recognized by Dental Council of India (DCI) or equivalent are eligible for enrollment in Ph.D. course.

Selection will be done based on merit in previous qualifying examination and entrance test conducted by the University on July 30.

Note: Candidates with Medical M.Sc. degree and working in Dental Colleges, can be considered eligible to register for Ph.D. under dental faculty allied science groups and the degree will be awarded as Ph.D. in Allied Health Sciences.
