Haldia Law College offers undergraduate B.A LL.B and LL.B courses conducted over a period of 5 years and 3 years respectively. Candidates need to score at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in 10+2 examinations from a recognized Higher Secondary board in order to be eligible for applying to the B.A LL. B course.
OBC candidates need an aggregate score of 42% in 10+2 to qualify for admission. LL.B applicants must complete graduation with at least 45% (40% for reserved candidates) marks.
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria must submit their applications by obtaining and filling up the application form available online, or they can purchase it from the college admission office. Final selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination and written test score.

Haldia Law College offers a 2-year postgraduate LL.M course approved by the Bar Council of India. Specializations in Business Law and Environmental Law are offered as a part of this course. Candidates applying for this course must be law graduates (B.A LL.B/LL.B) with 50% marks in aggregate obtained in graduation exams. SC/ST candidates must secure at 40% while 42% in LL.B is the minimum score OBC candidates require to qualify.
LL.M applicants need to appear for a written test at the institute to gain admission to the course. Candidates can purchase the application forms from the college office by paying Rs. 500 or download and print the form available at www.hlc.in.
The duly filled form must be sent along with all the required documents and a demand draft of Rs. 500 drawn in favour of ‘Haldia Law College’ payable at Haldia.
