DAV College Chandigarh Admissions
The candidates are admitted strictly on the basis of the rules and regulations of Panjab University. The admission to the college is provisional in nature and subject to the approval of the Panjab University. If the University does not allow any student to provide incomplete information or fails to submit documents on time, the college is not held responsible. All the candidates have to be present in person on the date and time of admission as notified by the college.
How to apply?
- Visit the website and read the prospectus carefully before applying for any course.
- Go to the link of e-Admissions and sign up with your name and mobile number.
- Pay registration fees.
- After the verification of the payment, log in to fill in the application form.
- Read the rules and regulations carefully.
- Students from the reserved category are supposed to tick the option provided and upload the supporting documents.
- The Email IDs and contact numbers mentioned in the form must be active and working.
- The column regarding the hostel accommodation must be filled in with ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.
- The students are supposed to fill in all the bank details.
- Mention the full name of the board/ university last passed out from.

DAV College Chandigarh Facilities
- Hostel: Hostels are assigned strictly on the basis of merit. Girls’ hostel has a capacity of 400 and Boys’ hostel has a capacity of 250. Students are not admitted to the hostel unless accompanied by a parent or a responsible guardian. Girls' hostel has AC rooms and provides hygienic food to the students.
- Library: The library at DAV College has both books and e-reading material for students. 8 computers connected through one LAN with a subscription to English/ Hindi/ Punjabi dailies. The library also has a rich collection of old palm leaf and paper manuscripts, along with rare books on poetry, prose, astronomy, astrology, Vedic literature, art, and architecture, epics and Puranas, etc.
- Laboratories: DAVC has over 30 laboratories for all the demanding subjects with all the requisite apparatuses and facilities.
- Cafeteria, Banking, and Medical facilities; The college has one cafeteria, one by Indian Coffee house, another by Nescafe, and a juice bar.
- The college has an Extension Counter Branch of State Bank of India working 6 days a week. A State Bank of India ATM is also present on the campus available to students and employees.
- The college dispensary is well-equipped with first aids, common medicines, blood pressure machines, and a wheelchair. A doctor is also hired for the well-being of the students, and in the cases of emergency, the students are rushed to the nearby hospital.

Ans. Yes, applications can be made for the Entrance Test. On clearing, a ‘provisional’ admission shall be allowed but the admission will only be confirmed when the marksheet with eligible aggregate will be produced to the University.

- The crowd of DAV college is really very great so the vibe of the college is really amazing
- Faculty are quite good as well as experienced one with good backgrounds
- The commerce and science departments are having good buildings as compare to B.A department.
- The facilities in sports are good like there is badminton court

- There are no internships in my department, and I have no clue if they have them in other departments.
- The college toppers get placements, but getting placements is not easy.
- Havent heard about this, but I know that sometimes fees are not taken by the college from poor students.
- The students were unhappy with the food they usually come to the canteen to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Maybe our college provides all facilities, but there is a bad remark about our college that the timetable should be maintained. Some students have joined professional courses but cannot attend classes due to a poor timetable.

The admission is done on the basis of Cut-off. It was totally based on your 12th percentage.
The application is filled through the.ac.in the site. This one form is applicable to every affiliated college under Panjab University. The admission procedure was online.

Actually I had done my class 12th from chandigarh so it is not very tough for me to take admission in this college because of the ut quota.
So after my 12 result forms are opened different colleges in Chandigarh which are affiliated with panjab university so fill out the form and got admission to the first counseling. The cutoff of my course is an average of 90-92 percent for other than ut students and the cutoff for ut students is around 65 percent.

I took admission 1 month late and the classes started to run at that time. All the students have to contact the Dean if they are late in taking admissions and to get admission the student must get a percentage above 60% in the 12th class. The students were struggling to get admission but if you have a good percentage, it's easy to get admission.
Yes!! Now as I want to opt for Economics honors we can get it from the second year of college as the college checks your eligibility that whether the student is good in the subject field or not. The student must get above 60% in the respective subject.
Reservation benefits are also provided but as I had a good percentage, I didn't have to avail myself of that. Yes if you are having late admission you must have to pay for late admission fee which is 3-4 thousand rupees extra than the normal fees.
The admission process could be improved more if the college released separate forms than just CUET which are easily available on the internet.

There was this combined form for all the colleges under Panjab University's affiliation. Other than that there was this entrance test called PU-CET which was mandatory for admission. The criteria for admission to these colleges were based on the marks scored in class 12

There is a simple way to take admission to any college on your percentage in your Twelfth class or some college conduct entrance exams to get admission, but in my case, i have given an entrance exam and i have seen the exam date on the college website and then apply for that there and provide my details like tenth's marks sheet and the twelfth and choose my courses for which I am applying in the college, Moreover, after doing all this formality I pay my fee that has been charged by my college later on. I got an examination date and I have raised to the exam hall. my exam after 15 days. I got my examination result and I got about 92 per cent in the exam and cut off in my college was at 82% so I am eligible to get admission to the college and I am very happy to get admission to this college and I have chosen BA.

Eligibility of course is minimum 90%above inside union territory and outside UT above 93% in board 12th
Application form, fee, and date will be displayed on the official website of DAV college.
There is a delay in the allotment seat of the candidate.

Well DAVCHD is best college I think. All the process are in systematic way. The application form we get from davchd website as well as in college premises and on the DHE website. The application form cost 600-700 approx.
Reservation is also available. Like sc, st, sports person, defense quota etc.
In my opinion everything is well and good of this college.
