Government Medical College (GMC), Patiala was established on September 29, 1950. It is the second oldest medical college in the State of Punjab. The college is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. It offers MBBS, B.Sc, MD & MS courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the field of Medicine. Apart from the basic clinical departments, some superspeciality departments are also functioning in the GMC, Patiala.

Government Medical College (GMC), Patiala offers Diploma courses in three disciplines for which the annual intake is 111 students. The admissions to these courses are based on merit list issued by the college. Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Biotechnology as compulsory subjects with 50% aggregate marks. For the candidates belonging to SC/ ST, the minimum qualifying marks in PCB is 40%.

I don’t know much about GMC Patiala and GMCH Chandigarh, so I won’t comment on these two.
Make sure to choose a college with hardworking students. Good company will motivate you to study harder and excel in your field. Food and language barriers aren’t much of a problem in the long run.
