Diploma in Interior Design: Admission Process 

The admission to the Diploma in Interior design is done on the basis of entrance examination or merit list from the qualifying examination. The admission process generally starts from the month of May or June every year. However, this year the admission process has been postponed due to the covid 19 pandemic. However, the admission process is expected to start immediately after the central and state boards declare the class 12th results.

Diploma in Interior Design: Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates must have cleared the equivalent exam for their desired college.

  • The candidates need to pass the 12th or equivalent examination from any recognised board.
  • The candidates are required to score at least 50% in their 12th or equivalent examination.
  • Some colleges require the candidates to have mathematics as one of their compulsory subjects in their 12th or equivalent examination.

The candidates are required to maintain the following steps in during the admission process to the Diploma in Interior design course

In the case of merit based admission

  • The candidates are required to visit the college website where they want to take admission and check out the eligibility criteria as well as entry mode (merit based or entrance based)
  • In the case of merit based admission:
  1. The candidates are required to register themselves on the official website and develop a login ID.
  2. The candidates must fill up the application form and upload the necessary information.

  • BHU UET: is a CBT (Computer Based Test) entrance exam conducted at the university level exam. Candidates who have passed their higher secondary examination are eligible to appear for BHU UET. The candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% in commerce / maths / Interior Design / economics / finance / financial markets management / vocational courses. The age limit is 23 Years.
  • NID Entrance Exam: It is conducted by the National Institute of Design. Minimum Eligibility is Candidates Who have completed 12 Class in any Discipline or appearing candidates for the appearing exams of class 12th.
  • SOFT CET: It is conducted by the School of Fashion Technology. Eligibility criteria set by the 50- 60% Aggregate in 10+2 Examination from any recognised board.
  • MET: It is conducted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Eligibility criteria set by the university/ college.
