Paper I - Research Methodology

In the first phase of the first paper of the PhD in Nursing degree, candidates have to understand a concept of research, which includes reviewing literature, researching questions, and exploring the intro of scope and research. They explore various epidemiological studies and learn applied research tool construction.

Secondly, candidates will go through the development and research proposal stage, where they will learn various steps in research proposal, research design, review of literature, selection and statement of problem, hypothesis formulation, material and methods, etc.

In the third phase, i.e, in the conduction of research phase, candidates will go through phases such as Sampling & Data collection, Sampling & Data collection, Measurement Scales, Methods Of Data Collection, Sampling selection Methods, etc. In the last phase of the paper I,they will learn everything regarding elements of specific writing.

Paper II - Biostatistics, Ethics, and Computer Application in Research

In paper II, i.e., in Biostatistics, Ethics and Computer Application in Research, candidates will go through four stages including Data analysis/statistics in research, Ethics and administration, and Computer applications and Statistics. 

Overall, some of the common topics that candidates will explore in this course are Measurement of central tendency, Measure of dispersion, Hypothesis testing, Probability Theories, Importance of Ethics, Legal aspects of research:, Use of work processing, MS Excel, Database searches on internet and compilation platforms for literature search, etc.

Paper III - Research and Publication ethics

In the Research and Publication ethics, i.e., in Paper III, the major thing that candidates will learn is to secure awareness about the publication ethics and and publication misconducts. This course consists of 6 units and the papers focus on research integrity, philosophy of science and ethics, and publication ethics. 

Paper IV - Recent advances and research in Nursing

On the fourth and the final paper of the PhD in Nursing syllabus, candidates will explore recent advances and research in nursing. Candidates' performance in this paper will be judged based on seminars as well as classroom presentations.
