AP EAPCET 2023 or Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agricultural and Medical Entrance Test is conducted by JNTUK for admissions to engineering, medical and agricultural courses at the undergraduate level. For the Medical and Agricultural exam, there are 3 portions – Physics, Chemistry and Biology which has two further subsections: Botany and Zoology.

Under the Botany section, the topic Reproduction in Plants carries the most weightage while topics like Microbiology, Plant Physiology and Genetics carry the minimum weightage of 1%.

AP EAPCET Biology Previous Years Paper Analysis

The AP EAPCET Biology section consists of 80 questions in total, out of which 40 are from Botany and 40 are from Zoology. Each question carries 1 mark which is awarded if the answer is correct.

The exam consists of objective type multiple-choice questions. Some questions are ‘Match the following’ type, some are ‘Choose the correct statements’ type and some are ‘Choose the correct features/characteristics.

The difficulty level of the exam is generally considered moderate. For the Biology section, most of the questions in recent years have been from the topics Human Anatomy and Physiology, Reproduction in Plants and Molecular Biology: Molecular Basis of Inheritance.
