Assam JLEE (Joint Lateral Entrance Examination) is a state-level exam conducted for admission to 3rd Semester B. Tech Programme offered by Engineering Colleges in Assam by Assam Science And Technology University, Guwahati. The exam is comparatively easier than national-level exams such as JEE Main or Advanced.
Assam JLEE 2022 is an offline (pen and paper) exam of 100 marks conducted for 3 hours and candidates must note that there is a provision of negative marking; 1 mark per incorrect answer. Assam JLEE 2022 Eligibility Criteria
In order to appear for the Assam JLEE Exam, candidates must fulfil the basic eligibility criteria set by the conducting body. These requirements include:
- Education Criteria: Candidates must have completed a minimum 3 year recognised Diploma from any SCTECollege in Assam which is under SCTE (State Council of Technical Education).
- Marks Criteria: Candidates must have at least 45% overall marks in their Polytechnic Course. SC and SC are given a relaxation of 5%.
- Residency Criteria: Candidates must have a permanent resident in the state of Assam.
- Final Year Students: Candidates appearing in the final year of their examination may also appear for the examination provided they have the original marksheet and pass certificate of final diploma on the day of their admission.
Assam JLEE 2022 Registration
Assam JLEE Registration window will be opened in the Sept, 2022. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility can fill Assam JLEE Application Form online only. The application fee is INR 100 which is non-refundable. It can be paid via Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking.

Follow the steps to apply for Assam JEE:
- Visit the official website of the exam; astu.ac.in/
- Find the registration button and click on it.
- Register yourself by clicking on the application form link.
- A new window with instructions will pen. Read the same and click on next.
- Select the program.
- Fill in basic details such as name, date of birth, age, nationality, address, email, phone number, and category.
- Upload photo and signature in the format mentioned above.
- Create a strong password and reenter the same.
- Click on the submit button after checking all details.
- Your application will open as printable pdf. Take a printout of the same and save a copy in your drive.
- Click on the link for fee payment. You will be taken to the login page.
- Enter the required information and upon submission you will be able to pay the fee.
Assam JLEE 2022 Admit Card
Assam JLEE Admit Card can be downloaded from the official website www.astu.ac.in/ using the login credentials issued at the time of registration. Candidates must note that the issue of hall tickets does not ensure admission into any participating colleges.
Assam JLEE hall ticket will contain information such as Name of candidate, Application Number, Examination Roll Number, Exam Venue Address, Exam Date and Time, Category, Gender, General Instructions, Photograph and Signature.

Assam JLEE 2022 Exam Centres
Assam JLEE Exam centres will be present in two locations only; Guwahati and Jorhat. Candidates can appear in either one depending on their convenience.
Candidates are advised to reach the test centre at least an hour before the commencement of the examination in order to familiarize themselves with the OMR sheet. Once the exam has commenced, no one will be allowed to enter any more. The OMR sheet must be returned to the invigilator after the exam is over. The question paper booklet can be carried back with the students.
