JEE Advanced 2023 eligibility criteria list five major criteria that are to be fulfilled for B.Tech/B.Arch admissions in IIT.
- Performance in JEE Main:
- JEE Main is used as a screening test for JEE Advanced.
- Only the top 2.5 lakhs JEE Main candidates qualify for JEE Advanced.
- 10% of these candidates qualify for GEN-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and the remaining 40.5% for OPEN seats.
- An additional 5% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates in all the above categories.

- Candidates born on or after October 1, 1998 are eligible for JEE Advanced.
- SC, ST and PwD candidates enjoy a five-year age relaxation i.e., these candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1993.
