CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023
CBSE will release the application form for Single Girl Child Scholarship in October 2023, tentatively. Students will be able to fill and submit the application form online at cbse.gov.in. Candidates who want to apply for renewal can do the same by filling out a renewal application form. The scholarship can be renewed for a period of one year only on successful completion of class 11 and the student must have secured 50% or more marks in class 11.
The eligibility criteria to apply for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 are as follows:
- Female candidates with 60% or above marks in CBSE class 10 who are studying in class 11/12 in any CBSE-affiliated school are eligible to apply.
- The student must be the only child of her parents.
- During the academic year, those students whose tuition fee is not more than Rs. 1,500 per month, will be eligible for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023.
CBSE 10th Registration 2023
CBSE 10th registration forms are released for both regular and private candidates on the official website. Students who are appearing with regular candidature are required to submit their forms to the respective schools. Private candidates are required to fill and submit the CBSE class 10 registration form online on the official website i.e. cbse.gov.in.
- The registration process is mandatory for all the students appearing for the board exams.
- Students who will be registering after the last date will have to pay a late fee as a penalty.
CBSE 10th Private Candidate Eligibility 2023
Candidates can register themselves with private candidature if they meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below:
- Candidates who were declared Essential Repeat in the previous year.
- Candidates who were declared fail in the years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022.
- Pass out candidates who wish to appear for improving their performance in one or more subjects.

CBSE Class 10 Admit Card 2023
The admit card for the class 10 board exams has been released on February 7, 2023. The admit card was released on the official website, cbse.gov.in. Schools could download the admit card from the website and students need to collect it from the school. It is mandatory for students to carry their admit card to the exam center.

The steps to be followed to download the class 10 admit card from the official website are mentioned below:
- Go to the official website cbse.gov.in.
- Click on ‘Pariksha Sangam’ option.

CBSE Class 10 Assessment Guidelines 2022-23
CBSE has released important guidelines and details regarding class 10 marking scheme and pattern which are as follows:
- Promotion Guidelines of CBSE Class 10 2023: CBSE Board has declared a set of guidelines for promotion to class 11 that the schools need to follow. The guidelines are as follows:
- CBSE has asked schools to refrain from streaming and let the students decide which all subjects to study based on their choice irrespective of Arts, Science, Commerce.
- Students can continue with Mathematics in class 11 as long as they had the subject in class 10 as well.
- Students are permitted to continue with class 11 even if they fail in class 10 board examinations.
- Students failing to qualify in class 10 board exam will have to sit for a compartment exam and it will have an objective paper.
- Schools will be conducting compartment exam, hence decision lies on the school to decide whether it will be in online/offline mode based on the situation.
- Exam Assessment Procedure for 2023: Assessment for promotion of students will be done on the basis of prescribed guidelines mandated by the board. 40% will be competency-based questions which include MCQs, case-based questions, source-based integrated questions, etc. 20% will be allotted for objective type questions and the remaining 50% for short or long questions depending on the set guidelines.
- Increase in Internal Choices in the Question Paper: The number of questions has been increased in CBSE question paper. There will be 33% of internal choice in all the sections of the question paper for all subjects. Now the students will have more options on which question to answer, to choose from.
- Introduction of Objective Type Questions: CBSE officials have now introduced objective-type questions in all subjects in CBSE class 10th examinations. Now there will be 25% MCQs in each question paper for each subject, which means that out of the 80 marks assigned to theory paper of a subject, 20 marks will be assigned to objective type questions. Subjective questions will carry the remaining 60 marks. There will be a total of 6 types of objective type questions:
- Multiple Response
- Multiple Choice
- Fill in the blanks
- Right and Wrong
- Assertion
- Matchmaking
- Change of Pattern for Internal Assessment: Internal Assessment will be of 10 marks. Distribution of marks will be under the new pattern for the internal assessment.

CBSE 10th Improvement Exams 2023
Candidates who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for improvement exams. The syllabus for the improvement exam will be the same as that of the regular exam. Usually, the application for the improvement exam begins soon after the declaration of the CBSE 10th result. In order to apply for the improvement exam, the following eligibility criteria are required:
- Improvement exam 2023 can be taken by candidates who passed the 2021 or 2020 CBSE board exam.
- More than one subject can be chosen by candidates for improvement.
- The application fee will depend on the number of subjects chosen.
- Candidates with a compartment in any subject are not eligible.
- Among the regular and improvement exam, the higher score will be considered for the final result.
- The result will be released after 3 weeks from the date of examination.
CBSE Class 10 Compartment Exams 2023
CBSE will conduct compartment exams for candidates who fail in board exams in July 2023, tentatively. In 2022, the compartment exams for class 10 were conducted from August 23 to August 29, 2022.
- The duration of the compartment exam will be of 2 hours i.e. 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
- Candidates will be given extra 15 minutes for reading the question paper.
- The syllabus of the compartment exam will be based on the CBSE class 10 syllabus.
- Schools can download the admit card for compartment exams from the pariksha sangam portal in the ‘Pre-Exam Activities’ section.

CBSE 10th Exams 2023: Important Guidelines
