KMAT 2022 Counselling
Candidates scoring marks equal to or greater than the cut off will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. KMAT 2022 Registration was started on June 6, 2022, on the official portal of KMAT i.e. kmatindia.com. The registration window was remain open till November 26, 2022. The steps for KMAT Registration are given below:
- Step 1: Register on the official website to generate KMAT Application number and password.
- Step 2: Fill KMAT Application form for all details like personal information, academic qualifications, test city preference, and work experience.
- Step 3: Upload all relevant documents like scanned images of passport-size photographs, signature, and category certificate, if applicable
- Step 4: Pay KMAT Application Fee of INR 850. The fee can be paid online through Netbanking/Credit Card/Debit Card The application fee is the same for all categories and is non-refundable. For offline payment, a demand draft must be drawn by candidates before starting with KMAT Registration.

KMAT 2022 Exam Pattern
KMAT Exam Pattern is notified by the exam conducting authority with the release of the official notification. The exam comprises 120 objective-type questions, each carrying 1 mark. KMAT 2022 question paper will be divided into 3 sections- Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension; Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning. The total duration is 120 minutes with no sectional time limit. Also, there is no restriction on switching between sections.

KMAT 2022 Syllabus
KMAT is generally of a moderate level of difficulty. The exam has MCQs only. A brief highlight of the section-wise syllabus for KMAT (Karnataka) 2022 is as follows-
Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension
- English language ability has questions on Grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of passages, etc.
- Questions to check language skills, understanding the contents of the passages, and appropriate words, phrases, expressions.
- This shall include the passages with questions based on their contents to test comprehension.
Logical and Abstract Reasoning
- This section measures how quickly and accurately can one think.
- The section may have questions in sets as well as individual ones based on Verbal Reasoning, analogy among others.
Quantitative Ability
- This section is of matriculation standard.
- It includes questions to know how fast and accurate you can work with numbers, do numerical calculations, understand various arithmetic problems involving ratio & proportion, percentage, interest, time & speed, etc. The questions will also be based on Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and parts of mathematics.

To ace KMAT exam, candidates need a well devised preparation strategy. Given below are some KMAT preparation tips for comprehensive preparation.
- Familiarize Yourself With The Topics: For any competitive exam, it is vital to know and understand the syllabus to know what kind of topics are covered. One must prepare in a way that they can clear every section. For Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, brush up your vocab and grammar basics. Read newspapers and magazines and note every new word you learn. For KMAT Quantitative Aptitude section too, candidates must have their basics cleared. One can start by solving the problems from the 9th or 10 standard math book.
- Work on Time and Accuracy: In order to attempt maximum questions in the least amount of time, one must work on improving their ability to solve questions faster. This can be achieved by practice. While solving mock tests, identify the weak areas and focus on improving those. While solving KMAT Mock Tests and Practice Papers, do not take more time than allotted in the paper. This way you can prepare yourself for the exam day.

Try to understand why you were not able to solve those, lookup similar worked-out examples, and then again work on similar questions and solve those. KMAT 2022 Admit Card
KMAT 2022 Admit Card has been released on December 1, 2022. Candidates are now able to download the admit card only from the official website till the day of KMAT 2022 exam. Ques. I belong to the general category. What is the minimum percentage of marks I need to apply for KMAT exam?
Ans. If you are from the general category, you need to secure not less than 50% of marks in aggregate to appear for KMAT exam. For reserved category candidates, the minimum percentage is 45%.
Ques. Can I apply for two programs through KMAT exam?
Ans. Yes, you can apply for two programs, however, you will have to fill out separate KMAT application forms for each program and pay the application fee of INR 850 separately.
Ques. Can I use a calculator during KMAT exam?
Ans. No, you will not be allowed to use any electronic device like a calculator or others on the day of KMAT exam. If candidates do not follow the rules, then they will be disqualified from taking the exam right away.
