TNEA 2023 Eligibility Criteria

TNEA 2023 Domicile Criteria

According to the Domicile Criteria for TNEA 2023, the following candidates are eligible to register. The candidate is required to meet any one of the following Domicile Criteria to register for TNEA 2023:

TNEA 2023 Academic Qualifications

  • Candidates must have passed their intermediate (Class 12th) or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects
  • The minimum marks required for TNEA admissions is 45% in Class 12th for General Category for all other categories it is 40%

TNEA 2023 Age Criteria

No entrance exam is conducted for TNEA 2023. Admissions are on the basis of class 12th marks of the registered candidates. The steps involved in TNEA 2023 Admission process are:

  • The candidate has to register one sale on the official website for the TNEA 2023 admission process.
  • Upon registration, the candidate would be allotted a unique roll number/registration number and password
  •  The candidate then needs to verify his certificates at the designated TNEA facilitation centres.
  • Shortly after a verification process, a merit list of the selected candidates would be published which would form the basis of the TNEA 2023 counselling process
  • The candidates mentioned in the merit lists are eligible for the counselling process after payment of the initial deposit for the counselling. In the counselling process, the candidates are required to choose the institutes and courses as per his rank based on which the candidate may or may not be allotted a seat in the seat allotment process.
  • If the candidate is satisfied with his seat allotment, he has to confirm his allotment.

TNEA 2023 Counselling

TNEA 2023 Counselling is being held likely from 3rd week of August 2023. The students are called for counselling rounds on the basis of their ranks, reservation and choices filled in the merit list and allotted colleges as such. A counselling call letter is released by the authorities after the submission of the counselling fee. During counselling, candidates are allotted seats in TNEA participating colleges in Tamil Nadu. Once a college is allotted, the candidate must report to the college on the specified date and time in the allotment letter.

Documents Required for TNEA 2023 Counselling

TNEA Merit List

TNEA 2023 Merit List

Authorities will release TNEA 2023 Merit List which contains the names of the students eligible to participate in the next counselling process. The merit list is generated based on the candidate’s Class 12th scores for subjects- Maths, Physics and Chemistry out of a total marks of 200 (Maths- 100, Physics- 50 and Chemistry- 50).

TNEA 2023 Merit List includes both the overall rank and community rank published on the official website. After the publication of the merit list, a week is reserved to address any grievances put forward by the applicant.
