VITMEE 2023 Eligibility: Program Wise Qualification & Marks Requirements

VITMEE 2023 Course-wise Eligibility

The minimum and detailed eligibility criteria for VITMEE 2023 M.Tech/MCA courses are as following:

M.Tech

• Candidate should have completed a full-time undergraduate degree in B.E/B.Tech discipline from reputed university with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
• Candidates who have studied in final year /final semester examinations are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates need to submit their provisional degree and final year mark sheet at the time of admission.

MCA

• Candidates are required to obtain minimum 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination for admission to the MCA programme offered by VIT University.

Detailed Eligibility

• The VIT University offers various M.Tech courses at Vellore and Chennai campuses whose eligibility criteria are explained as below:

Automotive Engineering

• Candidates should have studied B.E/B.Tech degree in Mechanical/ Automobile/ Production/ Materials/ Aerospace engineering or any equivalent degree from recognised university.
• Candidates must secure minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA

Computer Aided Design/ Computer Aided Manufacturing

• Candidates have studied B.E/B.Tech degree in Mechanical/ Automobile or Production Engineering or any equivalent degree from recognised university.
• Candidate must secure minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Energy and Environmental Engineering Information

• Candidates must possess B.E/B.Tech degree in any branch of engineering with 60% marks.
• Candidates should study M.Sc in Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Environmental Science/ Biotechnology/ Physics/ Material Science and Biochemistry from recognised university.
• Preference will be given to GATE/NET qualified students

Mechatronics

• Candidate should pass B.E/B.Tech degree in Mechanical/ Automobile/ Manufacturing/ Production/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Mechatronics or any equivalent degree from any reputed university.

Manufacturing Engineering

• Candidates who have passed B.E/B.Tech graduation degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Production/ Automobile Engineering or any equivalent degree from recognised university
• Candidate must secure minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Structural Engineering

• Candidate should pass B.E/B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering or Civil & Structural Engineering or any equivalent degree from recognised university

Information Technology

• Candidates have studied B.E/B.Tech degree in any branch of M.S/ M.Sc Computer Science or Information Technology or Software Engineering or MCA or any other equivalent degree from recognized university

Computer and Communication Engineering

• Candidates must have done B.E/ B.Tech/ M.S/ M.Sc degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Software Engineering / MCA with valid GATE score in Computer Science

Nanotechnology

• Candidates have studied B.E/ B.Tech degree in ECE/ EEE/ E&I/ M.Sc with specialization in Electronics or Material Science or Solid State Physics or B.Tech Nanotechnology or M.Sc Nanotechnology or any equivalent degree from recognised university.

Communication Engineering

• Candidates must have completed B.E/B.Tech degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ EEE/ ECE/ Telecommunication with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
• Candidates also studied M.Sc in Physics with Electronics specialisations or any other equivalent degree from reputed University

Sensor System Technology

Candidates must possess graduation degree in ECE/ EEE/ E&I/ CSE/ Instrumentation and Control/ M.SC Physics with Electronics or any other equivalent degree from recognised university

VLSI Design

• Candidates must possess B.E/B.Tech graduation degree in ECE/ EEE/ E&I/ CSE with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
• Candidates should study post-graduation degree in M.Sc Physics with Electronics or any other equivalent degree from recognised university

Automotive Electronics

• Candidate must have studied B.E/B.Tech degree in ECE/ Telecommunication /CSE/ EIE/ IT/ EEE or any equivalent degree from reputed university

Power Electronics and Drives

• Candidates must have done B.E/B.Tech degree in EEE/ ECE/ E&I or any equivalent degree from recognised university
• Candidate must obtain at least 55% marks in the degree examination or equivalent CGPA.

Computer Science and Engineering

• Candidate must have studied B.E/ B.Tech degree in any branch of M.S/ M.Sc Computer Science or IT or Software Engineering or MCA degree with valid GATE score

CSE in Cloud Computing with specialization in Big Data Analytics

• Candidate must possess graduation degree in any branch of MCA or any equivalent degree from recognised university

 Biotechnology

• Candidates must have studied B.E/B.Tech degree in Chemical/ Leather Technology/ Industrial Biotechnology/ Bio-Medical/ Bio-Informatics or must have bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks.
• Candidates must possess M.Sc degree in Biochemistry or Biotechnology or Microbiology or Physics/ Biology/ Zoology or Genetics or MBBS or M.V.Sc or M.Sc Agriculture from any reputed university.

Biomedical Engineering

• Candidates must possess B.E/ B.Tech degree in Biomedical Engineering/ Biomedical Instrumentation /ECE/ EIE/ EEE/ Biotechnology/ M.Sc in Biophysics/ MBBS/ Bioinformatics/ Degree in Physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy from recognised university.

Embedded Systems

• Candidate must have done B.E/B.Tech degree in EEE/ ECE/ Mechatronics or EIE from reputed university
• Candidate must secure minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Control and Automation

• Candidates should studied B.Tech degree in (EEE/ ECE/ E&I) or any other equivalent degree in Electronics/ Control/ Instrumentation from recognised university

ECE

• Candidates must have completed B.E/B.Tech degree in ECE or Telecommunications or CSE or EIE or IT or EEE or any equivalent degree from recognised university
• Candidate must secure minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Note:

• Candidates should be Indian Nationals or NRI.
• Candidate’s age should be at least 20 years.
