Field of Study:

MSc in Mechanical Engineering at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is a 2-year (4 semesters) program.
The program starts in the winter semester/summer semester.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
The program deepens and expands knowledge and skills in the analysis, design, simulation, optimization and construction of technical systems.
In addition to the classic lectures and exercises, the program also includes application-oriented forms of learning, including a practical mechanical engineering tutorial and industry-related advanced design projects, through which students can gain initial experience in basic and applied research.
In the project area, it is also possible to choose the option of twelve-week external project work in industry and thus to apply the theoretical knowledge to the professional world while still studying.
Due to the great freedom of choice in the Master's degree, students decide for themselves whether they would like to receive a broad education in general mechanical engineering or choose one of the following specializations offered:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Sustainable Use of Resources
- Clean Energy and Process Engineering
- Future Automotive Systems
- Digital Based Production and Robotics

There is no tuition fee for international students. Students have to submit the semester fee which is around 280 EUR per semester.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must complete a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
The related fields include a UG degree in engineering, engineering science, computational mathematics, applied computing, applied mathematics, computer information systems.

Language Requirement:

Students must pass the “Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang” (DSH-2) as evidence that student's spoken and written command of the German language is adequate for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs for which the language of instruction is German.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Or, completed a 3-year UG degree from an accredited institution

Resume/CV - This provides a summary of a student's experience and skills.
Higher Secondary School Certificate - The certificate provided by the education board after completion of the Higher secondary education and list of grades and subjects in the original language, and a certified translation (certified copies).
School Leaving Certificate – School-leaving certificate in the original language and a certified translation (certified copies) is required.
Language Proof – Proof of students’ language skills (certified copy).
English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE, etc.
