Language Proficiency Test Score for International Students

International students applying for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs at the University of Erfurt are required to prove their German Language Proficiency at level B1 (CEFR) and must take DSH-German Language Test to prove their Language Proficiency.
DSH Exam is offered at the University of Erfurt’s Language Centre in September.
Applicants can register for the DSH exam at the language centre if they have C1 level certification in German Language.

Visa Process for International Students

International students are required to have a German student visa, in order to study in a German Institute.
Documents required to apply for a German Study Visa are:
- Letter of acceptance from University of Erfurt
- Official higher education transcripts
- German language proficiency test certificate
- Health certificate
Getting a student visa in hand, may take up to three months, so the student must apply well before the admission deadlines.
Note that the tourist visa of the student cannot be converted to a Study Visa.
