- Orthodox theology in Munich is intended to make the partly unknown and yet fascinating world of Orthodoxy known to Orthodox and non-Orthodox Christians. To be able to study Orthodox Theology at a state university in Germany, in close proximity and in cooperation with the Catholic Theological and Evangelical Theological Faculties, is something unique in Western Europe!
- Theology as a whole, from the point of view of faith, is a scientific reflection of the “speech of God”. The study of “Orthodox Theology” should convey the necessary specialist knowledge and methods in the context of current scientific and social discourses. It covers the main features of all theological disciplines of Orthodox theology.

To apply for the Bachelor of Science program of LMU you must have completed a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification. International students seeking admission at LMU must apply through the International Office of the university.
