There is zero tuition fees for all students at TUM. However all the students are entitled to pay a semester fee of 147.40€ ( 154.39 USD) which includes Student Union fees and the basic semester ticket for public transportation in Munich.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent). While most of our students hold a previous degree in law, natural sciences, engineering, or management, students from other disciplines are also welcom. If the Bachelor's programme was not a four-year programme (240 ECTS credits or equivalent), but a three-year programme (180 ECTS credits or equivalent), an applicant may be admitted if he or she has gained an additional year of professional experience (two years in total).
- Applicants need to have acquired at least one year (self-financing students) or two years of professional experience after their first university degree. This means that work done during undergraduate studies (before obtaining the Bachelor's degree) cannot be counted. Apart from actual employment in a paid position, professional experience also includes internships, work as a research assistant (postgraduate), and work during a legal clerkship.
- Applicants must have a very good knowledge of English.

To apply for the MS Automotive Engineering program of TUM, you must have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university. You must demonstrate proficiency in English through a recognized language test such as TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent. Submission of GRE score is necessary for admission in this program.
To apply for the Master in Renewable Energy program of TUM you must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, natural sciences, or mathematics, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Along with this you must also have a valid ELP test score. GRE score is not optional but preferred.
