Educating the Innovation Managers of the Future is the goal of the four-semester Master in Management and Innovation. The program is aimed at young professionals with first professional experience who would like to bridge the gap between management and technology. As a graduate of this unique English-language program, students will have the exclusive ability to foster innovations within organizations.In the first two semesters you will get an overview of important general management topics. In the third semester, you will dive deep into innovation, entrepreneurship and technology.

There are no tuition fees per law in Germany.In order to study at TUM you do, however, have to pay the student union fee and a solidarity contribution for the Semester Ticket.

There are zero tuition fees for all students at TUM. However, all the students are entitled to pay a semester fee of 144.40€ ( 170.39 USD) which includes Student Union fees and the basic semester ticket for public transportation in Munich.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

  • Students should have a Bachelor’s degree from recognized institutions or universities.
  • Bachelor´s degree in any field
  • 12 months full-time work experience
  • Proof of proficiency in English (TOEFL 88 or IELTS 6.5)
  • A successful admissions interview
  • GMAT or GRE test result

  • First university degree (Bachelor or equivalent, at least 180 credits) in any field

  • Proof of one year work of full-time experience (by confirmations or references from your current and/or former employers that specifically mention starting and ending dates)
  • Current CV 
  • Letter of Motivation, in English
  • Copy of Passport
  • Proof of proficiency in English  through the tests like TOEFL, IELTS  
  • A preliminary documentation certificate (VPD) from uni-assist, if you obtained your degree outside the EU

To apply for the MS Automotive Engineering program of TUM, you must have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university. You must demonstrate proficiency in English through a recognized language test such as TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent. Submission of GRE score is necessary for admission in this program.

I'm a fresh grad electrical engineer, Can I apply for a master's in renewable energy?

To apply for the Master in Renewable Energy program of TUM you must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, natural sciences, or mathematics, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Along with this you must also have a valid ELP test score. GRE score is not optional but preferred.

International students applying for admission at TUM must submit a valid German Language Proficiency test certificate. You can check the admission requirements of the said program from BA Architecture at TUM.
