- The focus of the Mathematics in Operations Research master's program is on mathematical optimization and other subareas of applied mathematics.
- The master's program is tailored to students who are interested in demanding vocational education and training, with emphases on mathematical optimization and the other subdisciplines of applied mathematics.
- The theory and application of nonlinear and discrete optimization are central to the course of studies, as lectures in numerical analysis, stochastic processes, or applied analysis.
- The course content is complemented by a minor that can be chosen from the areas of economics, computer science, or business informatics. Interdisciplinary knowledge of methods and cross-disciplinary soft skills round out the course of studies.

There are zero tuition fees for all students at TUM. However, all the students are entitled to pay a semester fee of 144.40€ ( 170.39 USD) which includes Student Union fees and the basic semester ticket for public transportation in Munich.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Applicants with a Degree from Bangladesh, China, India, Iran, or Pakistan will have to submit a GRE (General) Test. Technical University Munich has defined required minimum scores, lower scores will not be accepted. The required scores are:

To apply for the MS Automotive Engineering program of TUM, you must have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university. You must demonstrate proficiency in English through a recognized language test such as TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent. Submission of GRE score is necessary for admission in this program.
To apply for the Master in Renewable Energy program of TUM you must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, natural sciences, or mathematics, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Along with this you must also have a valid ELP test score. GRE score is not optional but preferred.
