Visa Process for International Students
- Visa Fee: 75 EUR
- One should start applying at least 3 months before a specific degree program starts.
- One should need to secure the number of minimum funds (720 EUR) multiplied by the number of months you will stay, on a German bank account.
- One will have to attend a visa interview.
- Applicants who wish to live in Germany for more than 2 months, must get the confirmation of Registration “Meldebestatigung”. To get this, the student must apply at the Resident’s Registration Office or “Einwohnermeldeamt”.
- Applicants who wish to stay in Germany for more than 3 months, must possess a proper residence title. “Aufenthaltsgenehmigung” is the appropriate title, especially for study purposes. A residence permit shall be issued upon the application of the visa holder at the Alien Registration Office “Ausländerbehörde”.

Ques: Will all the courses be taught online for the Winter semester of 2023/24?
Ans: Those courses that are necessary or feasible and particularly useful will be offered on-campus. The possibilities for face-to-face courses are based on the requirements of the general infection laws, the regulations of the Baden- Württemberg accident insurance companies, and the University of Hohenheim’s central hygiene. The main purpose is to limit the density of people in all areas of the university campus at all times.
Ques: When do I have to pay the administrative fees, student service fee, and student parliament fee?
Ans: Al students are required to pay the administrative fees and student fees for each semester as well as contribute to the student parliament fee. The student fees do not replace other fees and charge Tuition fees do not include these contributions either.
Ques: Is reimbursement and recovery of tuition fee possible?
Ans: In the case of exmatriculation before the beginning of the semester, the fee paid will be reimbursed. If the student withdraws from university within one month after the lecture begins, the tuition fees are reimbursed. If the conditions for an exception from tuition fees applied during enrollment and international students were not able to show the required documents in time for reasons for which they were not at fault (e.g. documents were not ready), any tuition fee paid will be reimbursed.
