Just remember the passcode before putting your phone inside. Overall time: 20-30 minutes max for biometrics.

Get your OFC done fast by following the steps mentioned below - If your coming via Airport Metro, do not exit the building, the VFS centre is located inside the station. - Following documents were checked - DS160 confirmation page, Appt Confirmation & Passport - No electronics were allowed - Phones, earbuds, smartwatch (Previously phones were allowed in switch off mode but that has been changed) - Once you go through the document check at the reception, you shall be guided towards the final verification where the agent shall ask you your name & DOB and ask you to read out an oath. Post that the agent shall click your picture and take fingerprints and stamp on the DS160 form which is to be carried on the date of interview. - I entered the centre at 0848 (Appt time of 0900) & was done through the procedure by 0908. Better to get someone along who can wait outside the centre, who can hold your belongings like phone,electronic items etc so that you can complete the procedure in time (also ensuring your DS-160 is filled accurately as per your passport)

I applied on 18 may for US visa got appointment for 20 may and I got my passport on 23 may....just 3 days it took to get visa.

Note Phone is not allowed inside, so the locker charge is rupes 200 per hour and baggage charge is rupes 300 per hour. Bio metric will be done in 1 hour. Everything else will take time. Appointment line will be formed in half an hour first as the line is very long.
