The three central strands – Corporate Finance, Accounting, and the Financial Sector – run throughout the program’s core and its electives.
The program offers the possibility to specialize in three sub-disciplines. The sub-disciplines Corporate Finance and Accounting focus on the financial management function in organizations, executed by professionals like Corporate Financial Officers (CFO's), Management Accountants, Financial Specialists or Financial Directors. It brings together all the topics relevant for the effective execution of the finance function like financial reporting, management control, treasury, corporate governance, and auditing. These sub-specializations offer a wide spectrum of relevant knowledge areas for the financial manager across the disciplines of corporate finance and accounting, emphasizing the business administration program's integrated approach.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

A university Bachelor's degree that provides a thorough knowledge in Financial Management, Corporate Finance, or Accounting.
Approval is in most cases given to students who hold an academic Bachelor’s degree with sufficient courses in Finance in:
- (International / Technical) Business Administration
- Economics and Business Economics
- Econometrics and Operations Research
- Industrial Engineering and Management

Indian Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:

VU Amsterdam requires all applicants to take an English test. Exceptions are made for students who have completed a bachelor's or master's in Canada, the USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, or Australia.
TOEFL and IELTS tests must have been completed no more than two years before 1^st September of the year in which your course starts.

International students hailing from non-English speaking countries also need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
