I am offshore student.

My university is one of the best university and ranked in top 100 globally. And I wanted to do masters of international business from the very start of my career. When I got the chance i accepted it.

I have a few relatives living in Auckland, so I would be living with them and not in the accommodations provided by the University. But the University has quite a range for all these like self-catered, catered, apartments, one student rooms, double student rooms. But the cost of all these accommodations is way too high. But the rooms are definitely really good and the food as well.

I applied to the University of Auckland since it is the leading University in New Zealand, and being a part of such a massive institution would have been an excellent opportunity for me. The admission process is pretty fast and convenient; considering me being an international student, all my queries regarding admission were cleared through email within 48 hours. The admission process isn't much of a hassle. You fill out the online form from the website, and that's it. A few weeks later, I received an email saying I got the Conditional Offer. After receiving that, you just have to complete the conditions they have put forward, and if you manage to meet those, you will get your part. You just need to make sure that all the conditions that the University has put forward are satisfied. Mine was to get an 85% score or above in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in the 12th Examination and receive a band of 6 or above in IELTS.

I stayed as Flatmate, The room rent per week will be from 130NZD to 200NZD. The internta and lectricty per month will be 50 NZd, Groceries per week will 60NZD and bus bill with student concession will be 30 NZD per week

I was fooled by my consultant that it is the best university. I could have prepared for GRE and opted for the USA. Also, my consultant said this is the only country to get 3 years f work visa once I get graduated but getting a job without formal and professional work experience is tough in the country. also, the support for career development is poor.

Though hostel facility was available but I chose to take rented accommodation on shared basis with 2 other girls. It was around 200NZ$ per week rent and 100NZ$ for groceries and other expenses.

University of Auckland is among the top50 Universities of World. Faculty of Education and Social science is an pioneer in educational research. I also love the serenity of New Zealand.

Being an offshore candidate, I have limited experience in dealing with accommodation at Auckland. However, from what I know from colleagues, living in Auckland is extremely expensive. The university estimates that a year of living in Auckland costs anywhere between NZ$20,000 and NZ$25,000 per year (which converts to Rs. 10,00,000 to Rs. 14,00,000).

The main reason I chose University of Auckland is because of an alignment of research interests and reputation of my doctoral supervisor. In addition, Auckland has a very good economics program and is ranked in the top 100 globally.
