Rajas Institute of Technology

How do you tend to establish a healthy relationship in Rajas Institute of Technology, Nagercoil?

“Focus on physical learning environments, and provide curricular activities for students to maintain effective relationships on campus”

We develop an engaging learning environment for learners. Our focus is on physical learning environments like lecture, classrooms, labs, etc. We use different technologies to develop online learning environments for pupils. Campus organizes functions like Pongal, Onam, Independence Day, Republic day, Christmas, Ramzan to bring healthy relationships among students and staff members. We conduct college day celebrations where students get the opportunity to showcase their skills.

What plans are you currently designing for RIT international affairs and students?

“To impart research programs, and new courses for higher education on campus”

We are in the process of signing a MoU with the European university for Research related activities. Our campus is observing an experimental session and writing a brief paper about it. Writing a paper, and reviewing a journal article result in the creation of new knowledge. We can generate new concepts, methodologies and understandings through these. Pupils can participate in a discussion and do post-graduation at the university. We try to impart new courses for students along with doctoral research at the university.

Any suggestions do you like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

“Update knowledge, stay open minded and grasp new opportunities”

New innovations are coming in each day due to technological advancements. Youth need to update their knowledge every day. It led them to be recruited by top companies. Be open minded to the views and opinions of others and don’t aspire to monetary wealth.

What is your philosophy of leadership and describe your leadership style on campus?

“Motivate others and work as a team to attain success”

I believe that teamwork brings the growth of the institution. We organize meetings regularly with faculty and assign tasks to them as teams. Challenges faced by each team are discussed in the meeting and arrive at a proper solution. We motivate the faculty by giving them space, and a good respect. They get required tools to succeed in the process and pay them what they deserve in their work.
