Amity Global Business School recently held several events and award programs from 13th March 2023 to 17th March 2023 along with a quiz program. Mentioned below are the highlights of the various events: 

  • Marketing Club Brand Quiz

The Marketing Club of Amity Chennai organized the “Brand Quiz” for its first year MBA students on 13th March 2023. The quiz was conducted digitally using Kahoot. The marketing quiz comprised 3 rounds and one tiebreaker. 10 teams with 3 in a team participated. The first round consisted of various types of questions like Guess the logo, Choose the right option, True or False, and Facts about brands. The second round consisted of three types of questions such as Guess the sound of the brand, Guess the Ad by videos and Quiz questions on marketing brands. The final round consisted of facts about the brands. The students were very enthusiastic and enjoyed the event throughout.

  • Cultural Traditional Fest - Photography and Meme Competition

Amity Chennai organized the “Cultural Traditional Fest - Photography and Meme Competition” for the students on 15th March 2023. The theme for photography was "Life at Amity Chennai" students have taken photos from the Campus, made a collage, and explained the meaning behind the photos. Students created memes based on the day-to-day activities in Amity and displayed them. It was a fun-filled activity for the students.

  • Navigating Layoff Landscape with Right Skills

HR Club-HR Lounge of Amity Chennai organized Alumni interaction on the theme “Navigating Layoff Landscape with Right Skills” on 16th March 2023. Mr.S.Senthil, HR Manager- Recruitment, Novac Technology Solutions interacted with BBA IV & IV Semester and MBA(HR specialization) students about the economic slowdown and the concurrent scenario of massive lay-offs globally and in India. He elucidated with statistics the present lay-off scenario with causes and its impact on employees. He also shared valuable insights on the kind of skill sets employees should possess and the kind of jobs students should choose to navigate the lay-off landscape successfully.

  • Wonder Women Awards ‘23 

Amity Chennai organized the “Wonder Women Awards '23” on account of the International Women's Day celebration on 17th March 2023. Mrs. Kaliyammal, Social Activist, Ms.Ashokha Varshini, Journalist, Ms.Alisha Abdullah, National Racing Champion, Ms.Shimona Madhu, Director Lemon Tree Hotels, Ms. Varshine, Marketing Engineer, Microchip Technologies, Ms. Kiran Sravan, Singer were honored and felicitated with Amity Chennai Wonder Women Award for being the Changemakers in their field and for contributing to society. Dr. Uma Anandan, Social Activist, and special guest for the event spoke about the importance of women's empowerment.
