Sri Balaji Society group of institutions (BIMM, BITM, BIIB and BIMHRD) is home to one of the most prestigious B-Schools in the city of Pune and in India. The four institutes of the society have been ranked highly in various magazines, publications and enjoy a strong presence in the corporate world thanks to its strong and dedicated students working in various industries ranging from manufacturing to service, IT, ITES and other niche and upcoming sectors.
One of the reasons for the Society’s stellar reputation amongst students is the placements. As per the latest statistics, out of the entire 2016-18 batch, 556 students have already been placed (as on 15th Dec 2017) in various prominent companies amongst all sectors ranging from manufacturing companies to IT, ITES, Service and other Niche area companies. Some of the reputed names include Aditya Birla Group of Companies, Amazon, GATI, TVS Motor Company Ltd, Infosys, Vedanta, Wipro, ICICI Bank, SBI Life Insurance and many more. An average package of 6.5 LPA has been offered to the students with the maximum package being 15 LPA offered to not one but more than 5 students. But this is just a part of the placements, there is a lot more to come as the year progresses.
However, what needs to be noted is that the society and its four institutes are ‘not a placement agency’ as placements are something a student has to earn on his own. To be eligible for placement a student must have a minimum of 85% attendance. This ensures that the students have actually attended classes and have the strong theoretical base which has been enhanced by internships. Further, the institutes encourage their students to ‘walk the extra mile’ and invite companies, business entities and entrepreneurs to visit the campus premises for placement purposes as part of a yearly activity wherein its students are sent across the length and breadth of India on a mission to present their society and institutes and motivate the companies to visit the campus for placement processes by employing all the knowledge of management and marketing during their lessons.
Additionally, there is a dedicated ‘Corporate Relations Team’ staffed by students in each institute. The mission of this team is simple: Sell the institute as a place of formidable talent and convince the companies to visit the campus. It is to be noted that the members of this team are amongst the most hardworking individuals in the Society as they are the ones who are in the ‘line of fire’ facing the heat as they bear the onus of helping their friends and colleagues to secure employment. Apart from this responsibility they also find the time to manage their studies, efficiency securing flying colors in their tests and examinations. No wonder that the Society and its students are so popular in the corporate world.
