Please tell us about your journey as a Director of Care Business School and how do you describe your leadership style in the education sector?

“Visionary Leadership is the philosophy of Leadership and the style I would always recommend”

I started my career as an entrepreneur right after my MBA and have been managing a small scale unit which is into the recycling of plastics for more than two decades. The vision of CARE Business School – Transform lives through Education and Research turned me to be an academician from an entrepreneur. The visionary leadership motivates our team to impart quality education to students through critical thinking, creativity, leadership, and the spirit of entrepreneurship. The managerial thought process is imbibed into the minds of the students and elevates them from the rank of students to future-ready leaders.

Please share your insights into how Care Business School could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

“The college doesn’t discriminate among students on the basis of any caste, religion or race”

CARE believes strongly that “Open spaces create Open minds”. The students at Care institute are treated as equal and there is no type of discrimination. We tend to promote equality and the view of every student deserves a kind of education. We also offer Merit Scholarship for meritorious students.

What is your long term vision plan for students of Care Business School so that they achieve excellence in their professional and academic lives?

“There is no activity left we don’t provide to students for ensuring the very best as their careers”

We provide a SWOT analysis to each student admitted at our institute for shaping their lives in the way they need it. We also provide a lot of internships in their first as well as second semesters to provide them practical knowledge to know if they are on the right path. A person with a zeal for entrepreneurship finds this place as a bastion board to leap forward in their entrepreneurial journey. A complete nurturing is done right from idea generation to commercialization of the products. The process of internship make them have a better understanding of the functional areas of an organization in a practical way. This exposure helps them to take up real-time projects during their final semester which in turn makes them industry-ready professionals.

  • Alumni interaction takes place frequently apart from the annual alumni day.

With the competition so high, how do you guide your students to survive in such a competitive scenario?

“Collaboration turns into innovation and cuts the competition for success”

There is an adage that “if you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go with a team.” We believe that competition makes individuals run harder and faster while collaboration makes us work better for holistic outcomes. Competition helps to get motivated and also it becomes an important factor for innovation. The ecosystem at CARE fosters creativity and innovation which will be the determining factor to counter competition. The team games and events organized by students help them to have hands-on experience in collaborative growth.

What are the interventions and approaches you bring in apart from the curriculum to train/teach the students?

“There are various circular activities we initiate at our institute for approaching to success”

The association of the students with various clubs to enhance their personality is one major step. There are many clubs in our institute like the eco care club, innovation club, apart from their specialization based clubs. They are also part of YUVA, the student chapter of Yi Trichy. They select their office bearers and organize various events on multiple verticals. The students come together to provide a business solution to societal problems. A competition called Solve to Evolve is a treat for aspiring minds who dares to find a solution for societal problems by innovation.

What are the challenges you faced to uplift the quality of education of your Institution?

“The lack of risk-taking that slows down the level of innovation”

The background of the establishment of the institute is basically from rural and semi urban. This defines a connection of innovation to have lacked behind at the earliest age. The conservative nature of their parents holds these students to take the risk and plunge into innovation or entrepreneurship. As time progresses the mind-set and attitude of the students get in line with the vision of the institution and as they graduate out they come out in flying colors. Our pedagogy is an important tool to make this transformation possible.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Dedicate yourself towards smart goals”

Smart work is as important as hard work in today’s generation. Hard work needs to be done for the achievement of smart goals. The aim you are working for should always be smart. Be passionate about your work and dedicate all your hard work and focus on it. Polish your skills and capabilities to achieve what you desire. Be innovative in applying the concepts learned, success will follow for sure.
