Bringing the same expertise and experience, he wants to elevate the teaching standards in the country. Read here what he has to say in his interview. 

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“My passion towards training young minds to develop them in a better individual keeps me contended”

My passion for teaching and love towards students drives me to do something different for them, bringing me to this industry. I want to empower our youth with high morale and help them to become successful personalities.

What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“To establish and maintain a healthy relationship is my philosophy of leadership”

Being the Principal of the CIMT, my philosophy of leadership is to maintain a healthy relationship with my teachers and my colleague, which plays a vital role. It is also essential to maintain a healthy climate within the Institute to set a motivational environment for everyone to work in so that the environment helps my team lift each other. I give my team enough space to make mistakes and learn from their mistakes by themselves. 

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?

“It is essential to maintain a good relationship outside”

My strategy for marketing is by maintaining a good relationship outside the market like consultancy. To be precise, getting ourselves up to date with top consultancies for better placements for our students and understanding the importance of media nowadays highlight our critical factors through print and social media.

How does the curriculum of your Institute ensure the best practice of industry?

“To train students according to the current industry standards is pivotal”

The curriculum developed by the institute is based on the industry requirement; we have designed the curriculum to make our students industry-ready. We have also organized multiple seminars throughout the year by inviting industry professionals. Also, we give assignments, webinars, workshops for the students. We always try and find ways to make the environment knowledgeable about learning beyond the book. 

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the Institute and the students are?

“I share my experience with my students and colleagues to enhance their learning processes”

I try to contribute my knowledge and experience in the best possible way for my institute and my student's growth. Whatever I have learnt throughout my career, I want to transfer it to my students in every possible way. I try creating a healthy and productive environment inside the institute. We Organize teachers' development programs in CIMT to incorporate new teaching methods and improve their performances and make them ready for challenges. Additionally, we encourage students to learn outside the class and learn new things to develop a go-getter attitude.

What do you think should be the Institute's top priority over the next 10 years?

“We try and improve the quality of education constantly”

Our primary focus will be to design and develop sound teaching methodology and techniques that make our students more employable on on-boarding trained faculties across the industry, having good experience and training existing faculty about the new era of education. We are trying to do more workshops to make the students industry-ready. We are also planning on expanding the infrastructure, and also we are planning on introducing a career-oriented curriculum.

What do you see as CHANDANAGAR INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY’s greatest strengths?

“Our students and faculty forms the backbone of the institution”

We have a good management team. The strength of our institute is highly educated faculties from top management institutes. We have maintained a balance system by keeping some highly experienced faculties and giving a chance to freshers. We maintain a good quality of education as compared to the course fee we are taking. Our institute students are rank holders amongst all the institutes present under the Burdwan University board, which is quite a significant achievement.
