She has awarded Educational Leadership Award in 2017 and has published 6 books in management and a few are in line. What are your roles and responsibilities?

“Ensuring timely execution of plans and strategies in alignment with our core values”

My primary role includes successfully running day to day operations of the institute. I also have to ensure the existence of a conducive environment for the smooth and speedy learning of our students. For this, we maintain cordial infra-cultural balance in order to bring a growth-oriented mindset and harmony in everything we do.


What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Educating youths gives satisfaction and meaning to my life”

I have been associated with Dr. Ambedkar Institute since 2011. There are mainly three reasons for my strong association with education institutions. First, I am passionate about teaching and mentoring secondly, I am keen to bring a meaningful contribution to our society and lastly, educating the new generation brings meaning and contentment to my life.


What is your leadership philosophy?

“A true leader acts as a roadmap and support system for its team”

In my opinion, three key ingredients define leadership style. As we all know that having a strong base of empathy and kindness is necessary while you work with a team having a different set of opinions. Also, openness and willingness to learn is a must to explore and put forward your ideas on the table and lastly clear demonstration of compassion. Hence, I also follow all these techniques while dealing with people.

How do you strategize the key programs for the marketing and administration of your institute?

“We stay connected with students through published and social media”

We at Ambedkar institute work in a very structured and organized manner. On one spectrum of our strategy, we focus on vendor and stakeholder relationships and on the other end, we focus on education, upskilling and grooming of our students. We communicate with people through our website and published literature (magazine) to make them aware of us.

How does the curriculum of your institute ensure the best practices of the industry?

Our institute is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Bengaluru City University. The Bengaluru City University itself is the authority to design the curriculum. I closely worked in the process of designing the syllabus. We as a team of academicians and experts from industry, worked together to design and update the curriculum in order to make it a combination of theoretical and practical exposure. Our students get industry exposure through industry visits and by participating in discussions with industry experts in guests lectures. They are also exposed to opportunities like internships.

We perceive India as one nation with diverse cultures and identities and we are committed to maintaining harmony in all our speech and action. We feel proud to have army officers’ as our students at the same time students from various states and different financial backgrounds. We do have students from neighboring countries and Ivory costs. This blended mixture of students itself describes the strength and equality we provide to our students.

Our top priorities are for the upcoming years are as follows:

We approach in a very unique way to educate our students. We have the best faculties who are well qualified and highly experienced. Our focus area is enforcing learning based on practical knowledge which makes our students industry-ready. 


Any suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

“Invest your time wisely and keep yourself healthy”

I would like to advise current youth and aspiring students that use their time judiciously, keep the technology distractions away while studying. Secondly, keep specific goals and resolutions for life and work towards them. Last but not least keep the health intact.
